Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
Having run quite a few practice sessions with quite a few entrants, I think that if there are three lobbies, the difference between the slowest of the A and fastest of the C will be under a half second. Meaning the B Lobby will be freeken insanely close.
Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
All comes down to that "lucky" lap or an extreme coolness on the day.
Sounds weird that no matter how small the series is always fell a bit tense at the qualifying and only settle down half way through the first race.
I usually rely on consistency to win races, my hot lap times are poo, hence my leaderboard times are also kaka

Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
I've been too conservative most of the time, and aggressive at all the wrong times. Seems to be more than a trend.
Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
Mikey, you drove like a demon in the jnrtcc, let's see some more of that sparkly cornering.

Maybe try learning the way I did: switch the clutch and handbrake buttons, go back to career events, grab a little F Classer and knock out some of the easier races in hard mode. Then jump into the public lobbies and get even more practice. After a few hours, you should have it down.

I just wish I could switch out the shift down and rewind buttons in the 6th controller layout. Will make everything so much easier for me.

Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
Use the 3 or 4 set, were clutch is A. Then reverse the shift buttons so that up shift is left bumber and down shift is right bumber.

Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
I change the set up so that clutch is A, gear up is B and gear down is X.
this way I can cover two buttons with one thumb for changing.

Same here. When I first tried using the clutch, in any other position, it was mission impossible, with that set up its easy peasy.

Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
While I still have yet to see a 1:05 lap, I'm getting more consistent with the low 1:06s. My race pace is there, but quallies are going to be tough.
Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
I've bought myself a Miata, created a livery and been banging in some laps of Tsukuba with no tune: 1:07.55

Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
Friday already!
Yikes what a week. Three comps starting and practice needed on all three.
This track and car suits a late practice though as you want to be right in the grove cme quallifying.
Hope to get some low 06's but 06.7s are more my limit.
Ill be looking for the practice sessions later

Re: Tsukuba Lap Times
Race day is upon us, and yesterday the cold/flu that has been swirling around me hit. So I went to bed at 8 and tossed and turned for a few hours before finally falling asleep. Got my 8 hours of sleep in at that point. Feeling ok so far, hope that creeping ick can stay away for the day.

I hope I'm not catching that as I had to leave school early today because of my stomach acting up and also getting a headache.
