let's talk lawnmowers

now, I know that lawnmower racing has a redneck stigma about it but let's be realistic, it looks funny as hell and to be quite honest with you its actually fun as hell.

besides that you brits are the ones that started this "majestic" sport so kudos to you.

I remember TORA Race Driver 3 had a Honda Lawnmower mode That was awesome. And hilariously slow compared to the other disciplines on the game

I've spent more money in rc cars than i have in my lawnmowers, so if you want to talk about money, its only expensive if you want it to be.

well I'm in the U.S. the classes and regulations are quite different, If you look on the website you might find a race chapter near you, and i don't keep up with international currency values but if you end up finding one pre-built that someone is selling, in america it could be anywhere from £500 - £1000 but you could go asking around if anyone has an old mower they would sell

the first mower I bought was 100 bucks and i put about $50 to make it race ready, i got fourth with it but there were a few mechanical issues, the mower that i have right now cost me about £200 and after all of the parts that i'm going to put in it that would value it at around £700 give or take... so basically if you had £300 you should be set to at least start out in a lower class

but like i said the regulations might be different for you, I would try getting in touch with someone to help you out

I started lawnmower racing with quite a bit of help, but i agree with going to an event to see what its all about
