Result, thought he'd go to Sony though.

Ace Combat needs a good game. Their last few efforts have been increasingly getting worse. And another game that glorifies the F-22

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
Saw an interesting debate today regarding Xbox Live Gamertags. Some where arguing that they should all be reset, which is kind of moronic. I'd take the name 'Grumpy Cat' straight away and sell it online. However, there was also discussion about resetting inactive accounts. Ones which haven't been active for over a year or at least have been a silver account for 6 months and inactive should have to relinquish their gamertag. I might change my GT for the next gen launch.

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
It goes without saying that the standard PS4 and Xbox One console bundles at launch will only be coming with a single controller for the respective $399 and $499 asking prices. This is obviously not ideal for those that require an extra controller straight away, which is why you’ll be pleased to see both Sony and Microsoft now opening up pre-orders for those that are looking to secure a separate controller.
The bad news is that both the DualShock4 and the Xbox One controller are going to be a $60 purchase, which is a lot of money either way you look at it. However, one interesting thing to note is that we’ve seen pre-orders for the Xbox One controller on Amazon, offer up a specific date of release.
If you head to Amazon’s listing, you’ll see the release date for the controller as November 27. This is different to Amazon’s pre-order page for the PS4 DualShock4, as there appears to be a placeholder date of December 31 instead. As far as we’re aware, Microsoft has not confirmed the official launch date for the Xbox One, so is there a possibility that Amazon has once again slipped up and November 27 is the big date to look out for?
We knew that the system would be available during Holiday season and November 27 is right in the midst of the Thanksgiving period, which would seem like a logical launch period. Again, this is not confirmed yet but it does look pretty promising from our point of view.
Let us know your thoughts on this and whether you are definitely considering picking up an extra controller for PS4 or Xbox One.

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
I saw confirmation of the UK prices for the controllers and the headset for the X1. £44.99 for the controller, £59.99 for the controller with the play and charge kit and £19.99 for the headset - the basic wired headset we really should be getting bundles with the console.

Major Nelson unboxes the XB1... Very interesting
Comes with headset and a 4k HDMI cable! They also show the on/off switch and the way it lights up, pretty neat

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
So now, after all the nonsense that has been thrown around, your choice (over what system to get) should be:
1.What system has your favorite games
2.What system has the best controller (for you)
I fail to see any other differences although I think the cloud will become increasingly important over time as developers get used to the idea, which will improve games exponentially.

Re: Miscellaneous Next-Gen Gaming thread
Still getting both
I've been playing my PS3 and Vita a lot recently - mainly because of MGS - so I'm actually really looking forward to the PS4 now. I just got PS Plus and I have to say the Instant Game Collection is bloody amazing, I paid the same as XBL and have gotten about 12 free games and now that the Vita is included I'm getting games I wasn't sure about which has been making me play the Vita even more.
If they continue the free games into the PS4 then it's an awesome deal. Much better than the one free game Xbox has just started doing and which are really old - Crackdown anyone?
