BritCar 24hrs Silverstone 20-21 September 2008

Right with just over a month to go this is how its looking.....

The event, the highlight of British club racing, takes place in September. It is expected that Top Gear will be taking part but nothing is as yet confirmed.
There are a number of support events prior to the race including:
Formula Palmer Audi
Porsche Club Trophy
Alfa Romeo Championship and others

The big race kicks off at 16.30 GMT on the Saturday (20th).
Friday is filled with Britcar Qualifying and the first support races and their qualifying.
There should be alot to see and do at the circuit including pit walkabouts and rides, static displays and the usual shopping opportunities.

I will try to get a Sunday of work, so I can attend on a Saturday. However if I do go, I will not be able to stay for the whole event, which means I might leave on a Saturday night.

I think Matt said he booked a hotel room, when I talked to him up at Thruxton.

i might come with luckier not sure yet.

The more the better, that is what I say. However if plenty of us meet up, then maybe in the future we could do another type of meet up.

But in a form of a small racing lan.

thing is i want to book tickets, but as i don't earn much money i will need to find a cheap and close hotel

id love 2 go but i live 3 flippin hours away which is poo

you think you have it bad at 3 hours im 3 hours from dublin to get a plane to fly over to hire a car and then drive to it

I'm there all weekend with my good friend Bethan now... both as guests of Thorney Motorsport. So I'll getting up close and personal to teir VXR 220.
Anyone who wants to meet up with me drop me a pm with your mob number and I'll le you know where we are at the circuit.
We should be ther from about 10am
CANT WAIT to see the Mitsubishi Evo X Endurance Car... that looks HOT!!!!
