Oh mate it was simply awesome....what other event can you boast about wathing the race from the pit wall? And being right by the top three cars in parc ferme AND under the podium for the celebrations?
Couldn't have asked for a better couple of dasy.
I'm planning a BIG road trip for the WHOLE weekend nextyear....treat it like Le Mans and camp in the circuit, LOTS of booze, LOTS of food and a BIG ol fashioned party!!! Oh and watch sum racing from time to time too!

Re: BritCar 24hrs Silverstone 20-21 September 2008
fantastic pics in the night mate, they're awesome. i was there too with the Daniels Motorsport guys, but unfortunately we were also at the BTCC at brands too! so we could only be at the BritCar for 3/4 of the night Qualifying and from 9:00pm until about 1:00am in the race... then it was a 2 and a half hour drive back to brands hatch and then waking up at 6:00 in the morning!!! (needless to say everyone else was up at 6... and i sure wasn't!)
but being up on the pitwall watching Andy Neate driving the TVR in night qualifying was FAAAAANNNNTTAAAAASSSSSTTTTTIIIICCC, and the sound of the relentless BMW was incredible! it's just a brilliant event, and if you're down next year Jense, i'll do my best to be there too! (i'll be 17 at that stage and with a bit of luck i'll be able to drive there!)

If any wants to know -
The driver of the TVR Andy check out - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&f=147.
Was a very serious crash, and thankfully Andy looks like he going to be ok.
Was a great race though, next yar brit car 24 has been moved to April (provisnally)
Plus next year moslers will be running with no restrections as they will have a class to themsleves inside the britcar.

April WTF????
I know its their 5th anniversary buuut its not gonna even be a year lol/ Can't say they're doing it fr the weather eight coz April is just as unpredicable as September (British GP 2000 anyone?)
Cn't imagine why they are doing that.
I knew abound they have/are changing the regs to allow the M3 GTR's to race in the regular series aswell. Was hoping for some of the Ferraris to pitch up at the 24hours but oh well.
With GT3 being the more 'popular' GT catagory these days will be interesting to see what turns up at the next event.

Re: BritCar 24hrs Silverstone 20-21 September 2008
D'you know... I was sat on the pit straight and coz the field was so big and the Thorney car was near the back I wasn't paying attention with my cam!!!
I saw the Mosler spinning but by then the TVR and Ginetta had crashed. Can't see why the dude in the Ginetta woud get his licence taken of him. He would've have been unsighted and had noooo chance of avoiding the car coming back across the circuit. Sadly just one of those things when you have a car spinning and so many cars behind them. Lucky no one really took out the Mosler either.

Re: BritCar 24hrs Silverstone 20-21 September 2008
Andy Neate is a good friend of Daniels Motorsport and used to run with us in the Fiestas, he's an awesome driver and he was VERY badly injured in the crash on the 21st. He was induced into a coma and on life support for a fre weeks. He's now been taken out of ICS (intensive care) and is in a trauma ward, so his recovery is going well. He's a top bloke and i wish him a full and speedy recovery. ;D
