Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
To say that TORA isn't a very diverse league is an understatement. Everything here is all about Forza & its proving very difficult to try get a championship on another game going. Hopefully this will change that.
F1 2012
Settings:
Race distance: 50%
Collisions: Full
Weather: Dynamic
Safety Car: On
Rules & Flags: Reduced (due to issues with the games penalty mechanism)
Assists: All banned
Date & time undecided. Perhaps Fridays at 8pm?
Races will run weekly and if there is an actual Grand Prix that weekend then we will use that track
Teams will be made up of 2 who will represent a constructor. If 2 privateers enter they will be joined together in a team they agree on or failing that will be assigned a team.
For example:
Driver 1: xxxxxxx
Driver 2: yyyyyyy
Requested Team: Scuderia Ferrari

Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
Guessing this would be restricted to one lobby due to dynamic weather
Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
Shizac. I've missed loads of info out. Qually will be a 'long version' a 15 minute session.
@Chucky I doubt this will get much interest to get over 16 people anyway, but if we do, the we'll have a Q1 15 minute session to sort the lobbies out (in clear weather) and a Q2 to set the grid inside that lobby.

Dont you have to pay a certain amount of MS points to be online with this?

Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
I didn't know how many could fit in a lobby I have the game but never played online
Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
Are you sure you want to run it with no assists. Surely to get interest it would be better leaving those optional, then if the series take off maybe removing them for a second series

I'm down when I get F1 2012 lol. (which could be after my exams...so for my bday lol)
Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
If you get enough, I may go out and get this to join in.. Used to love playing the F1 games.. Bt never got on with this one too much..
No assists will be interesting that is for sure..

Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
I chose no assists as this game is a lot more forgiving without assists than Forza.

Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.

Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
I wouldn't mind... but F1 games don't have the same appeal they did 10 years ago for me. I've raced around all of these tracks for at least 9 years on F1 games... it's such a shame!
Re: Formula 1 Championship - Gauging Interest.
I'd really love to race on the F1 games with you guys, but I can't use the controller on this and the Fanatec wheel simply doesn't seem to work on Codies games properly and sounds like it might break. I'll give it another go to see if there are any updates.

I have tried My Fanatec with F1 2012... wasnt fun. Just couldnt keep the car in a straight line and turning a corner was like turning a boat then came the wall.
