Highcroft Racing to return to its roots

Starting at the 1st round of the 2011 International Sports Car Championship (ISCC) Asia season, Highcroft Racing will change its name back to Coca-Cola Motorsports. The team is ecstatic about the change and are delighted to welcome back the Coca-Cola brand as a title sponsor.

Highcroft Racing is looking for a 3rd driver to compete in the American leg of the ISCC.

The Coca-Cola/Highcroft Racing team is looking from some bright, young talent to join the team for the upcoming TORA Summer GT series.

The Coca-Cola Racers team have confirmed that they are partnering with 2-time American Le Mans Series Champion, Highcroft Racing for the remainder of the International Sports Car Cup season. The team will be running two HPD ARX-01b cars on Michelin rubber. Duncan Dayton, team principal of Highcroft Racing, spoke to the media yesterday to address this partnership.

The P1 team and the P2 team will be running the same for the 2nd leg for the ISCC in Europe

The driver line is also staying the same.

Minor sponsor No Fear will be removed from the car and there will be a special paint for the endurance races, the paint will be posted up during the break

After a successful 1 - 2 finish in P2 for the Coca Cola Racers boys they have taken the ISCC Asian P2 Team Championship

Next round is at Suzuka were GTR Evoluzione and Chucky 1982 will have a 15% power handicap against them as they try and take 1st and 2nd in the drivers championship

Yes it's true long term teammates Culchi and Chucky1982 have decided to split up the Coca Cola Racers Team, Culchi will continue to run the LMP1 program in the 2011 ISCC while Chucky1982 takes his side of the garage to LMP2. We are delighted to retain the very promising upcoming star that is Stonewall for our LMP slot and will be shortly receiving our new Pescarolo-Judd cars paints to be released soon.
On the LMP2 side Chucky has taken on GTR Evolutione and has managed to keep the team ties with Pescarolo strong by also signing a contract for the P2 variant Pescarolo-Judd.

Coca Cola Racers has decided to drop the spilt branding that sees a Coca Cola Car, a Coca Cola Zero Car and a Diet Coke car. They are now all Coca Cola Cars, the paint was due to roll out for the next LMS event at Silverstone 15th August.

But it was reviled at the 2.4hr Le Mans event but with no pictures of it not many people saw the design, the team photo-shoot was due this weekend at Silverstone thats why there has been lack of pictures but we can now put it up.



Chucky 1982 #82, culchi...

the dust has well and truely settled after an awesome race and we can look back with satisfaction. Tremendous driving by stonewall took him to first place in lobby and a very deserving 4th overall. Following an awful start which seen him drop from 1st to last in lobby culchi had started to work his way back up the field before dropouts saw him climb to 3rd until a crash left him i seconds a lap down for an hours racing. Chucky had more problems having to retire on lap 22 following a collision with the debris of jenson car. Drivers are resting for the next round of the lms and will be back for comments...

After Thursdays qualy session with only one session left on saturday night Coca Cola Racers team boss Shane held a press conference and released some quotes from his drivers.
As team boss i am very happy with all 3 drivers.
Currently our drivers have qualified 6 8 and 10th and we feel the best of the non diesel cars.

Veteran driver and founder of the team Chucky 1982 had this to say
Due to the summer break I have not been in the LMP1 car for quite some time and heading to Le Mans was not the best come back as this track is not the best for me.

After an unexpected arrival yesterday for practising we decided to throw newcomer Stonewall into the fire and put him racing in lobby A for his first full session. Apart from multiple engine overheating problems where he had to pull over and let it cool down (sic placate family) Stonewalls first performance showed some huge potential coupled with respect.
We hope he had fun racing with us and you al had fun overtaking him because i feel that won't be long before that tribute is removed.

It is a tough decision to make but due to Highcrofts inactivity online since february Coca Cola Racers have decided to throw open his LMP1 seat to all interested. Invitations will be sought and if we have more than one a selection process will be made up.
Criteria; Due to team change rules anyone currently racing in the LMS series in a team will not be allowed to apply. So if you havent raced in LMS or want to change from a privateer to Team entry currently sitting in 3rd overall in teams championship pm me or just say your interested here.

Round 3 at Mugello saw the rolling out of the redesigned Coca Cola Racers Stealth Acura ARX 02a
The new paint jobs for Chucky and Culchi removed the purple effect of the martini logo, and left the new cars with a simpler more dignified paint.
Both drivers were very happy going into qualifying as both Culchi and Chucky were performing consistent near top times. However when we got to race time we were in for a shock.
While our times were still good everyone else seemed to have jumped a second or more a lap quicker.

Highcroft was unavailable at photoshoot

following two successful races of the lms coca cola racers are delighted to be running in 6th and 10th position.
However the failure of the team to get any use out of the third driver has led to an application being lodged with race control to change driver 3 in the lineup.

Also following much ribbing about our blue and red martini stripes looking purple a new paint will be introduced following approval or rejection of our new entry.
