Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
I think that the cars should have race weight reductions and roll cages so that they look more like racing cars

Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
count me in on sunday racing. i too like idea of a series for learning protocol and cutting your teeth in REAL online racing without getting in the way of you old pros !!! simple is good and sure thats part of reason for a good showing last night. again i think last night was fantastic and i came last!! maybe we could have say small 4 week series with different tracks and stock car each week starting with D class going up to A class on final week this would enable us newbies to build a learning curve on a variety of tracks and classes.

Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
Regrets - I have such an appetite for things like this at the moment, I think it would really work. I'm thinking of something like a 'beginners license' series, where you have to take part in particular races before you unleash yourself into the crazy pitlane, maybe some basic cars to get used to driver aids being switched off, manual gears, stm/tcs off, because I think a LOT of drivers come into TORA with all of these switched on and find themselves right at the back of the grid, 2s off the car in front in some cases, and get disencouraged and put off. If each driver learns WHY and HOW these are good when switched off, it will only improve the community.
It's never been like that before, I don't know if something like that works, but it would be cool to see licenses that you have 'gained' through doing certain things, like taken part in first race, or, can master clutch, or taken part in an endurance race etc etc

Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
^ I have seen other race sites that work that way (licensing and such), but have never actually raced there, so I am unsure just how it all works out in the end.
Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
The main point why I think series like that will progress is so the driver aids end up getting switched off. Not only should TORA be the place to race, but we also hope we make them faster
Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
i think the v6 for next season or a bit of tuning to the season 1 car as some people might not have DLC and therfore miss out on this experience

Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
This has been brought up before and was dismissed, because the idea of TORA is that it's open for anyone, and it shouldn't be restricting.Bli33ard wrote:Regrets - I have such an appetite for things like this at the moment, I think it would really work. But also we can't restrict by not using the dlc cars as the game has been out for two years, you can buy the car singly for about 140 points
Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
Maybe the licence doesn't restrict your racing, but can been seen as accolades - or even 'achievements' if you will - and can give your fellow racers a better understanding of who they are racing and their capabilities.
Also, regarding the V6s as much as I would love them there is another site doing the same thing with those cars. Whilst this is more community driven, it could be seen as copying a race idea. The Spec Cups will cover all forms of drivetrains, be it FWD, RWD or AWD so maybe RWD Clio's would't be necessary. I'd like to use the newer Clio 200 which is DLC and whilst the game has been out for awhile I can understand some people not having it. Maybe it would be worth a poll to see who actually has the DLC that did take part in the last season.

Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
I would be intrested in seeing the new ClioRS used(not sure if it was the free sample car). There could be slight upgrades to bring it closer to real btcc support spec, all none adjustable but all add to the slight increase in speed e.g race clutch, flywheel, driveline, sport springs. I was working on Clio nights so missed season 1 but hopefully can make season 2.

Need to change the wheels....even if you put them into the build so you can change the colour I know it sounds a bit picky but I hate the standard wheels on cars

Re: Clio Cup Season 2 Suggestions
I think we've got a good idea of what people want in the next series. We'll release more details as and when!
