going green at Arnage (if i'm correct in understanding what they said), so only a few minutes away from starting

Ok, I'm bored with the full course caution so a little fun fact time. The reporters on Speed say that the drivers will be making an average of 60 gear changes per lap totaling to about 21240 gear changes for the race. So here's what I came up with:
 
Total average of laps: 354 (21240 gear changes/ 60 gear changes per lap)
Gear Changes per hour: 885 (21240 gear changes/ 24 hours)
Gear changes per minute: 14.75 (21240 gear changes/ (24 hrs*60min=1440min))
Gear changes per second: 0.245833.. (21240 gear changes/ (1440min*60sec=86400sec))

This is just an average and I was very bored. OK, now I will go back to my hole.

looks like where the #95 hit the armco-barrier, was right infront of a tree! hope the driver is alright.

some fun facts of Le Mans
Tetre Rouge is French for Red Null (hill), which, the corner is, its a red hill (granted small) hence it got its name
this one everyone knows, the 24 hours of Le Mans has never been red flagged before, even after the crash in 1955
the 1955 crash was the biggest crash in Le Mans history, and motorsport history with 70 something deaths, 14 injuries (spectators/marshals) and 1 death (driver)
the longest distance covered in Le Mans is 3315 miles
1969 was the last year the traditional Le Mans start was used

that's what i did at the end of my Maths exam, fuel consumption testing calculations, killed some time, helped with strategy haha

thinking back to how severe that 1955 accident was it is kinda scary to think that lemans didn't stop, yet at the nurburg 24hr they stopped for rain

hurricane you should of seen the non stickered one, they actually welded signs to the car to get the design sorted it looked mega but I bet it weighed abit lol

It's not funny but I might be related in some way to Allan Simonsen. I'm not sure though, but my fathers last name is Simonsen before he changed it to hide from his first wife. My grandfather is from Denmark. But, Simonsen might be as common in Denmark as Smith or Jones is here in the U.S.. Either way I hope he's ok.

I just heard elsewhere that Simonsen is conscious. Hope that their French to English translation is correct as that is great news.

Australian GT have confirmed that Simonsen is OK! he is on his way to the hospital just for observations and precations
but so far, he's ok

OH and Mikey, you glad the genitals aren't racing this year?

I thought he was conscious just complaining of back/neck pain which to be honest I wouldn't be surprised as that was a very nasty smash

yea, thankfully at the moment hes ok, and fingers crossed his condition only improves!

The way the Toyota drivers are driving, they won't make it another 2 hours because they are going to crash out of the race. I'm glad Simonsen is doing ok!!

another random Le Mans fact:
Only nine sets of Michelin tires were used by the winning car, nick-named `Red Sonja' by the mechanics, with Benoît Tréluyer completing the longest stint, five equating to 54 laps, on the same set of tires.

During the race, the lead swapped between four cars no less than 46 times while Audi topped the leader board for 261 of the 355 laps with the winning car credited with the most laps (246) in the lead.

I really hope you're wrong Hurricane, they are doing really well in the early stages, and everyone loves an underdog

Now that the track has dried up, the Toyotas are getting killed. Losing about 3s a lap to the lead Audi.
