Sent you the Veloster tune Dewey and a replay for lines/gears - lap 5 is the best, 1.00.923 clean

Its all about 100% acceleration diffs, I don't understand how anyone drives with anything but that.MYLES PR0WER wrote:The team that ran the Honda in the WTCC last year did my method, on another obscure tuning note Demo runs all his RWDs at 100% diff its amazing he doesn't do this all race.CQR MAGiC wrote:It's not how you'd tune a real FWD car, but maybe it works with some cars on Forza - try both methods and see which feels better, and which is quicker for you. Thing with tuning is, there's never a 'right' tune for everyone, you need to tailor it for your own preference, some people are faster with a more stable tune, others like the car moving around a lot for example.MYLES PR0WER wrote:Thats what I thought and was told but according to one of Forza's top tuners this works better
Also, I did do that in the ISCC at Mugello. Wumba had a front row seat

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion

Race set up question.
Can staff please confirm that all 3 races per night will have the grids set up via a 1 lap race system.
Thank you guys, Im breifing my teams and want to be precise with the information i give.
Might even be an idea to put a line in the rules thread to be clear to everyone about how lobbies wilj be formed
Thank you
Newt

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
As far as I know, it's a formation lap to the grid like real life, no 1 lap grid setting races, otherwise the lobby would need resetting for every race, that would take too long.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
The formation lap has been removed and the starts would be like the BG McLaren Cup with the cars staying in spot till the counter hits 20 seconds.
Let me double check with this.

Not this season. 20sec grid start.CQR HABURi wrote:As far as I know, it's a formation lap to the grid like real life, no 1 lap grid setting races, otherwise the lobby would need resetting for every race, that would take too long.
I loved the parade lap and grid form, really added to the tension before the start of the race.
Checking the rear view to see when last was pulling into place.
The roar of the engines once a start time had been said
Sadly last season there was issues with it as there were people that couldnt run a controled pace for the parade lap.
Others that warmed the brakes at random times and damage from collisions.
Then you had mics not plugged in or laggy voice where times couldnt be heard or were too soon/long etc
Oh and imperial v metric forming issues too.
Eaisier to have a set start time so we get the clutch start procedure but with more pradictability.
Despite all that i did love them! As real as it gets
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
Is there going to be a spotters guide? if it's going on Moters Tv,
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
Yes there will be, half the teams wont have paints yet anyways lol

After the test last night this may be changed slighty in the rules to go back to Season 7 starts, just in talks with other members of staff about it
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
I believe this would be a good move Chucky - there'd just need to be harsh penalties for anyone 'cocking around' on the parade lap
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
I thought Season 7's start rules were excellent!

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
The problem was some problems we had with the lower lobbies brake testing and making prats of themselfs on the out lap and the simple thing of not being able to line up on the grid, didnt want that shown to the motors tv
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
The test session starts ran very smoothly last night on gridding. I could see people having issues with each other on the outlap formation but this will look sleeker on MotorsTV. Really excited for this
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
In regards to the start procedure, could we sort of combine the 2?
By that I mean we do a parade lap, and line up on the grid, but start at a given time? (eg 2mins 30secs)
Also implement rules for the parade lap and harsh penalties (eg. no brake locking deliberately, back of the grid penalty for instigator of contact)
Just an idea

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
The problem with set time is if we say 2:30 start time lobby A could reach the grid at 1:50 whereas lobby e could get to the grid at 2:24. That was why the thing was bought in for the leader to say the time. This time I think the host should state the time and repeat it 3 times and radio silence is in effect on the grid
