These rules are out dated its a staff mistake for not updating the procedure book but we are busy working on other things and due to working and having a family i cant dedicate my life to TORA .

Well, surely that makes all stewards inquiries void. How is it fair to imply a set of rules upon people when nobody knows these rules??

That's tora fault, not the racers who make the community what it is. How long have these new rules been in practice without being announced to everyone else?

Fair enough, but again, without telling anyone? Surely if rules are changed they need to be in clear sight for all to see, in the rules. That just makes it sound like rules are made up as and when it suits.

Yes I agree Devil and they should be updated in announcement made by the stewards, any steward changes will be announced in future and for 2014 the steward hand book will be updated.

After some incidents the rules are sometimes tweaked a little to prevent it in the future. But on the face of it, you shouldn't really have to be too fussed about the rules anyway, so long as you're a good boy Razz

If someone submits an SI, then it's the stewards to ultimately decide whether you did break the rules and what suitable punishment you'd get if you did.

But yes, updated rules should be announced more clearly. Thanks for you feedback Wink

The new driver punishment procedure was put into action on the 22nd May 2013 im sure there was a announcement but if not thats my mistake and i take the blame for that .

The reason for the changes was due to a loop hole where drivers would receive a penalty on the last race of x season and then it would become void as the series had ended so we implemented the newer system were a punishment from x series would carry over to the next event that the driver would enter meaning no punishments ever get dropped here.

The driver punishments were also flawed themselves were certain punishments would suit say the ISCC series but were near impossible to implement for say TCC this resulted in drivers constantly receiving 3 race warnings and generally they never learn so this system was brought in for a quick fix for the remainder of 2013 to suit the remaining events untill the rules and regulations are re written following the new MSA 2014 guidelines.

Being a member of staff at another race site, I completely understand that its hard doing this full time. So I know where you're coming from. But tora is a big site, with lots of racers which equals a lot of Stew inqs. The rules need to be clear and for all to see, otherwise the community will lose faith in it.

Thanks for the response rogue. Glad someone could see what I was trying to say. I'm not having a go at anyone, just trying to understand.
