Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
Turn 1 at Indy has always been cut I remember the 458 races we did lol.BG Chucky 82 wrote:Erm no, to quote a quote (taken from the TCC Rules and RegulationsKilroy8 wrote:I thought it was always based on the Forza track limits. So getting a clean lap, despite running wide, is acceptable due to the nature of the circuit. It's a bit of a grey area, like turn 1 at Indianapolis GP.The track limits are determined by the solid white lines either side of the track. At all times, two wheels must remain on this part of the circuit, unless of an occurrence where it is near to impossible to keep two wheels on the track, like avoiding a collision. During a race meeting, each time the track limits are not adhered to, a warning will be given. Each driver are allowed five warnings of all four wheels leaving the track via the inside of a corner, at any part of the circuit. If a sixth and subsequent "corner cutting" occurrences happen within a race meeting, then that driver will lose a position for each corner cut. Again, if a corner is cut to avoid a collision, this would not be given a warning.
The track limits must be adhered to in the event of gaining an advantage whilst having an on-track battle. If a driver overtakes a driver by getting all four wheels off the track, the driver must give that position back before they may continue the race. If the driver which was overtaken backs off heavily either through incident or "mechanical" failure, then the position will not need to be given back.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
I think the differance between Tskuba and Indy is you know your running wide at Tskuba where as you cant see the line at Indy untill your on it. I tried many times not to cut at Indy on Sunday and failed but I never run wide at Tskuba as I ease off when i know its going to far.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
We shouldn't need to monitor the laps as everyone knows to respect the track limits , if it is reported to us that someone is using it to gain advantage then we shall investigate .
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
It kind of sucks being fed justice for a 'past' event based on a 'new' rule book.
You have openly acknowledged something wasn't quite right with the replays, and im the first to welcome the
new rule, it clarifies a lot of things. But i can't let this go knowing some people now have penalties and some don't when
initially there was quite a lot of jump starts according to your 'replays'
I've now ended up with a penalty from a warning i didn't technically receive last round, i never got a chance to say to myself
'[Censored] jay, just start a little later, you have a warning now' you sirs have robbed me i tell you
If you wanted to be 'fair' this rule should of been implemented to start at Tsukuba.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
The rules have changed into your favor, you should have been given a 10 place grid drop, you jumped the start twice and only got 1 5 place grid drop to your name.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
I think i know that, you can give me a 20 place penalty for all i care, your missing the point. Some people now have the chance to undo their wrongs, they have an actual warning unlike some peopleBG Chucky 82 wrote:The rules have changed into your favor, you should have been given a 10 place grid drop, you jumped the start twice and only got 1 5 place grid drop to your name.

I agree that the rules should kick in a Tsukuba, but its done now so we best move onTG Amarth wrote:It kind of sucks being fed justice for a 'past' event based on a 'new' rule book.

You jumped twice, therefore effectively using up your '2 warnings' warranting a 5 place penalty.

Are we going to be using these rules for the Mclaren cup also as that has the same start procedure?

I don't mean to sound rude but what do you expect should happen? You still jumped the start, I know the rules have changed but that doesn't mean that everyone's penalty should be wiped.

Quite a few people jumped the start 2 weeks ago, now most of them get away scot free, not exactly fair now is it.Kilroy8 wrote:I don't mean to sound rude but what do you expect should happen? Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
the rules themselves havnt been changed a jump is still a jump but we just had to move the goal posts to allow for the errors that the replays provide us.
Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
So it's ok to penalise just a few and not all of the jump starters from 2 weeks ago?BG Trash McNish wrote:the rules themselves havnt been changed a jump is still a jump but we just had to move the goal posts to allow for the errors that the replays provide us.
