Ok this is strange. I appeared to lag out but then it tried to get me back into the lobby. A handful of people also lagged out of the lobby I was in.

So annoyed! Almost rolled the car, saved it but then I hit the tire wall head on. Damage hurt we so my best time was 2 seconds off what I should of set. My new setup isn't working. The car just wants to roll at every corner

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
My car number is listed wrong on Live Timing. My car number is #117, not #16. That's CRA Adder's car number. I'm substituting for him.
At the Tsukuba round where I was substituting for CQR HABURi, my car number was listed correct.

Substitute Drivers
For the length of the entire series, a team may make use of substitute driver if a full time driver cannot make a meeting. This substitute driver is eligible to score points for the drivers championship, and towards the point for the team they are driving for that meeting. A team has a maximum of 2 substitutes per season. Any further substitutes, and the replacement driver will not score points for the team they are driving for. Substitute drivers must be made aware to the series runners before commencing the race meeting itself.
The substitute driver can come from an existing team, privateer, or any other friend. A substitute driver may only score points for the team they are driving for in any particular race, and must remain in a single car/team for an entire race meeting.
So I can drive for a different team as a substitute driver and still score points for the Driver's Championship aswell as the team I substitute for?

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
Surely the Volvo is'nt that far behind to jump ship from a car used all season to gain a advantage in drivers championship in the final round?

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
I've done around 70 laps prep & tried every possible build & no 32's. I need to be in the 32's for a shout of A lobby/competing for the championship. If this is allowed then there is no reason why I shouldn't swap cars & help another team out seeing as the volvo is no where near challenging for anything in the teams

Haydo, I've scored drivers championship points in the last 2 ISCC rounds while subbing for Wingnut in the GTE Jag as opposed to my LMP Honda.
The ISCC drivers championships are split up by class but as the TCC one is not then your DC points from the car/team you sub into should still be counted IMO.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
Well the teams have no one who is close and needs the help, Would just seem like a kinder hollow victory if you won though would it not?
I know the CQR lads who are in this final round battle some are struggling aswell but constantly tuning the ass off the cars, we have members who could sign up a team for the final round then sub drivers in just to get a better car but its slightly unsporting in my eyes.
Only my view on it but the rules have left a large loophole here.

It's not against the rules but agreed it is slightly unsportsmanlike.
I know we have our differences but personally, I think if you've spent the whole season doing well, be a shame to lose it before you even start the final round.
You never know you can outquali yourself, Sunset saw tons of people up to half or even a second off their PB's.
I say do what you feel best, I wouldn't complain.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
Seeing as I wanted to switch half way through the season but my teammate didn't want to, I stayed in the volvo There is no reason why you can not do that. I know come Tuesday night anyone who is CQR & avaliable to race will be there doing the best they can to help thier team win. I'm sure if it were to come down to it you guys would let Magic, Jono, Neon & Type R past if it meant they could do better in the championship. I'm not saying it's the wrong thing to do but I would see that as 'unsportsmanlike'.
Sure some people that would go quicker than me might qualify slower but the chances of me hitting my PB in qualifying is very slim as when I hit that 33.1 it was absolutely perfect. I could sit here & tune the volvo all week and never hit that lap again. Alot of thought went into making this decision & I want to best my chances to win.
I wouldn't see this as an hallow victory because it is in the rules that I can do this. Surely if it's good enough for the staff at TORA to come to the decision that this is okay then why isn't it okay for me to swap cars? Also surely you guys at CQR would see this as a complement to your ability to get so many drivers so far up the standings that I have to do everything in my powers just to stand a chance of winning.

Re: MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion
Well say we wanted one driver to win the title we all sign up in a car which has one strong track then sub that driver into the strongest car every round.
For me its just wrong, the title has gone to wire in these cars running similar tracks like catalunya with off cambered corners etc but as you say the rules allow it but for me i dont agree might aswell sub every title contender into the hotlap car of choice for this round.
