Re: MSA TORA ISCC Season 5 - General Discussion (part 2 use)
I think we all had a bit of a stale night in B lobby, Lots of little damages it felt like we were on the last stind of the 24hr du mans or something.
On the bright side I'm extremely chuffed to have made B lobby for the first time in my rookie season and to be sitting at 3rd in the GTE drivers championship.
I know its temporary but i'm beaming regardless.
Thank you for hosting and to all the drivers in B for the nice smooth lapping etc

C lobby started with 13. After an absolutely stupid start, two people quit the race and four people lagged out. This brought it down to seven. Probably the most depressing race I have been in. Still excited that I got 4th in class!

Didn't quite know what to expect before yesterday!
Being generally rubbish at Forza I usually use ABS, got a little bit of a shock coming into the first corner on qualifying! Haha!
Had fun though, is a great idea to match everyone's ability, plodding round in E lobby I still managed to beat a couple drivers and have a little bit of a battle with some! Sorry to the LMP1 guy who I hit, I thought you were going to wait till after the corners, didn't hear anything to say you were coming past :S
Thanks to hunty for hosting. Thought I was forgotten about at 8:30!
Anyway, see you all in Catalunya!

Cars driving round the track in the wrong direction during qualifying whilst others are still trying to post times......
The 2hr 24min race kicking off more than 35 minutes late......
Distracting lobby chat with persons talking about Scooby Doo & ghosts during the race, later on randomly imitating the 'Jaws' theme music across the lobby chat channel.......
So you can imagine I was pretty hacked off with this round.
Then I finally crashed out on a twinky after leading B lobby in LMP1 for more than 190 miles........
So I'm writing LeMans off as a bad job.

Who was Distracting lobby chat as well.
Wont stand for this at all
Re: MSA TORA ISCC Season 5 - General Discussion (part 2 use)
Rogue the lobby chat was very minimal really.
I get distracted if there is too much chatter but Project (No malice here Project mate i'm sure you will agree) struggles with any chat at all I have noticed.
Most weeks we are in a lobby I hear you say your turning your mic down etc, Only silence will be good enough I feel
Backwards driving though is not a good thing to be dealing with

I was wondering how Adder came past two lobby A guys in the overall results! I remember a race when it had 13 at the start and only 5 finished.

I think I know why the crush happened at the start.ScoobyDoobieDoo wrote:Ecstatic that i made the B lobby on my first series race then after all that hard work and time............. i got smashed from behind again! this time before the race had even started :O (unfortunately as i retired i wasnt able to save a reply so if anyone has the replay saved from B lobby could they gift it me or even put it on there storefront please) just want to be sure on who it was
Aero had told the pole guy "your free to go when you exit the chicance". Instead he did a 321 count why people were doing as told and accelerating out of the chicane.
Don't know who made contact but it was a messy start due to the above mis-understanding between Aero and the guy on pole
Re: MSA TORA ISCC Season 5 - General Discussion (part 2 use)
I see, that would explain the sudden burst from behind, to be honest i was unaware of this either i was concentrating too much on not having any contact or there was an interruption in convo, but even saying that was there really any need to be that close on the grid? after all the race was over 2 hours long :O oh and mine lasted a whole 6 laps due to the aero damage it was undrivableLastNewtStandin wrote:I think I know why the crush happened at the start.ScoobyDoobieDoo wrote:Ecstatic that i made the B lobby on my first series race then after all that hard work and time............. i got smashed from behind again! this time before the race had even started :O (unfortunately as i retired i wasnt able to save a reply so if anyone has the replay saved from B lobby could they gift it me or even put it on there storefront please) just want to be sure on who it was

Re: MSA TORA ISCC Season 5 - General Discussion (part 2 use)
I agree there should be a spacing on the rolling starts, Looks great when everyone is bunched but a gap would make the starts a lot safer
Re: MSA TORA ISCC Season 5 - General Discussion (part 2 use)
Loved racing with you mate :)was a crying shame my internet gave up the ghost because the fight was just getting interesting ;)going door handle to door handle with you though Indianapolis was amazing!BG Trash McNish wrote:yeah didnt have a great time today fluffed qualifying only getting 1 clean lap that i drove slower to bank.
Race ,well taken out on the start given aero damage then a stupid down shift cost me some engine damage plus a few run ins with the twinkees this all cost me a few miles but overall not a bad result all things considered.
p.s.: does anyone have the replay from Lobby C on their storefront?

No offence taken Mr Newt, there's some truth in what you're saying, I personally don't call out passing or pitstops. This is just personal preference as I think it adds to the realism, but I normally start all events with the mic open unless it goes off topic and becomes distracting and then I just turn it off.LastNewtStandin wrote:Rogue the lobby chat was very minimal really.

I love a bit of banter before & after the race, I don't mind the relevant stuff during the race, passing instructions etc from GTE to LMP and this kind of stuff. But I struggle with open chatter for sure.

Re: MSA TORA ISCC Season 5 - General Discussion (part 2 use)
If you think someone has jumped the start or not happy how your lobby start went:
Rolling Start
Competitors will be instructed to listen to the race host; Each lobby will have a set start timer of which will be worked out for cars travelling at a standard 80MPH pace car lap, it will be the responsibility of the pole sitter to make sure cars stick to 80MPH and that the pole sitter hits the green flag on the pit straight.
All rolling starts must be in 2 x 2 formation. Once the lead driver reaches a pre-designated section on the track (usually the final corner), they shall let the pack bunch up side by side in a two by two formation. the lead driver is given the choice what side he wishes to begin the race on, and all following competitors must follow this lead.
When all drivers are in position and the field are all on the start / finish straight, getting confirmation from the last driver that all are in position, the lead driver may start racing conditions by shouting "Go" and accelerating.
Under no circumstance shall any competitor be allowed to pass the vehicle in front until they have passed the start and finish line.

Re: MSA TORA ISCC Season 5 - General Discussion (part 2 use)
As its my rookie season I was pretty stoked for pole in PC for my first ISCC race, and my first in a prototype of any kind, but then things went wrong, little wash behind zakspeed, one dropped tire coming up to Indianapolis, looped it on cold tires, and suffered extensive damage early enough to cause a retirement as that car can't even spell 'in the points.' But lesson learned, good running with y'all and well catch you at the next one.

Its a (unwritten) rule to call out when you pit IN and OUT in the races.CRA Project239X wrote:No offence taken Mr Newt, there's some truth in what you're saying, I personally don't call out passing or pitstops. Really sorry about hitting you. Aero said to accelerate out of the chicane which I did but as Newt says Project did a 321 go start. Just a simple misunderstanding. I'm the same. I don't call out passes except if it is lapping of GTE cars because if I call out passes I won't be concentrating on driving.CRA Project239X wrote:No offence taken Mr Newt, there's some truth in what you're saying, I personally don't call out passing or pitstops. Good little run last night!! Did a nice steady lap in quali to make sure it was clean then managed to cut a little time off before the end. Race went well, the setup was a touch on the safe side as i had no straight line speed but quick through the curves suprised to finish 2nd despite a moment with the wall when following an LMP1
