Random draw for lobbies and random grids for both races with no points for anyone.
Enjoy what you are taking part in; the results aren't important if you aren't having fun.
You nearly killed me in the first race. That wasn't fun! My poor ticker....

Motorhead he made a very constructive comment and I do see what he means, if we are all reading and listening to you, it is helpful to do the same in return for others, he wasn't aiming abuse at anyone directly.

Re: European GT championship. General discussion.
Despite the issues with lag early on, race 2 in lobby E became quite good.
Got caught up in someone elses incident and lost groud.
Caught and passed Corey and Janisery, got took out by Corey, caught them back up again and passed them again to finish in 6th.

was great racing in lobby e to be honest apart from the odd mishap and even losing the host at one point it still ran very smoothly for us impreza was alot faster than us in the first race but he did not complain and just enjoyed the night

Re: European GT championship. General discussion.
I honestly had no problems with the random grid. Yes, it was hectic. And, yes, I finished third in the first race in C lobby and started dead last in the next race and ended up having to gain six spots. In a Viper. Against BMWs and Gallardos. But, I had a helluva lot of fun making up those spots.
But, if we are going to change the start procedure, I do not want option C at all. Option C can possibly be way too time consuming if someone in there doesn't have very steady fingers to get the car lined up. And laggy mics are also an issue. I would say do the same start procedure as BG McLaren and Porsche Supercup have: Line them up by lobby points. It makes qualifying and the first race just that much more important to do well in.

I blame hacks, you purposely set your PC to a few minutes before mine, Now I know how you set your lap times!

It would be a good idea to keep the reverse grid system in the race 2

Hockenheim will be beautiful. There will be a rainbow running across the whole track and there will be white chocolate scattered across the grass. Our cars will have unicorn farts coming out of our exhausts. I don't know about you, but I just got some premium unicorn farts which give me +5 hp down the straight

Re: European GT championship. General discussion.
Depends if you want a full grid reverse or lobby reverse.
Grid reverse means backing out and going in to reset.
Full reverse means you change the settings to "ascending" which will score the parade lap too.
Or in Race2 you set an extra lap and do a parade lap with a standing start, which is risky for some.

Actually agree with all that Bandit said above, I didn't mind the random grid as it gave fair chance to all, even if I ended up nearer the back of the starting grid lol, that said a random grid gives slower lobby drivers a damn chance of walking away with some points and feeling good about their nights racing and looking forward with excitement to their next knowing they just bagged a couple of points. That said, if the race 2 grid order is going to be changed then I also omit option C simply because I will be one of the first here to say I don't fancy trying to line up on the grid after a parade lap and I doubt too many other new comers would want to try farting about doing so because all that will happen is members further up the grid will get annoyed and that adds unwanted pressure to newer or slower members and that ruins their night also. So yeah change the grid order for race 2 if the organisers so wish but definitely reconsider that there will be more cons than pros with option C for all concerned.

100% agreeHCR Mad Dog wrote:VAMR Wilson wrote:go back to the good old days of making a new lobby for the 2nd race it could give all the drivers a 5 min rest from a hard fought 1st race and anyone whos angry gets the chance to cool down, hell drivers could even get 5 mins to change thier car setup if they wish.
Definitely the best way to do things.
Re: European GT championship. General discussion.
Can anyone send me the replay from Lobby E race 2 please, thanks.
After colliding with someone coming back on track, I had 100% damage to engine, transmission, aero ......... I could have walked the track quicker than driving it.

Just a quick shout to Warspite who made the ultimate sacrifise to not even race and probably aged about 20 years last night, the stress was off the radar!!
and to shrinkingsteven who ignored his girlfriend for 5.5 hours for you guys, I hope the dog house wasn't to cold! cause your a brave man!!
Please remember when making your commenets this series has way more interest than was ever intended, you have a couple of fresh staff members running the show and some new marshals/lobby hosts to so it's never going to be without issue's somewhere, and that's not to mention the large number of new members in the series who have not completed a full tora event before.
and you can always rely on the technology to let you down at the vital time!
Things can only get better!!

Beat me to it, +1 to everything you said. Half the people i know would've given up with everything that went on but they didn't and that is to be commended.
Well done guys, great racing too last night, can't wait for the next race,
