Andrew Jordan has confirmed a partnership with Red Bull for the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, because F1 dominance wasn't enough

Jordan is going to step up to V8s one day, he was really quick testing for Jack Daniels two years ago.

I believe this is just a personal sponsorship. Helmet only, in other words.

Red Bull would be the ideal helmet sponsorship.

Re: BTCC 2014
Ollie Jackson is in the second Proton also the Super Touring Trophy is to be added to the support bill at Oulton Park on 7-8 June. Open to cars that contested the BTCC between 1991 and 2000, the Super Touring Trophy was formed in 2013 and is run by the Historic Sports Car Club. There will be two races run over the course of the weekend, one of which will be televised as part of the BTCC’s fantastic coverage on ITV4.

Re: BTCC 2014
Seems to be some rumours mumbling about of a former champion returning, possibly with Motorbase. The only active current ex-champions out of a job I can think of are Giovanardi (Who did some Superstars recently), Alain Menu and Rickard Rydell (Who did some STCC with Chevrolet recently).

Re: BTCC 2014
Is Tim Harvey really going to be up for a full BTCC ride?
I certainly wouldn't mind if it was him, the commentary box could do with less repetition about the difference between FWD and RWD. We get it Tim.

Harvey is racing supertouring or at least trying to get a car for it. He did race a RS500 last season.

Re: BTCC 2014
As far as I'm aware it's not Red Bull Racing, it's Pirtek still. Red Bull are personal backers of Andy not sponsors of the team

Q14.4.2.a The white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track.

Re: BTCC 2014
This is the new MSA rule concerning track limits that's caused quite a bit of controversy in national racing over the winter here.
In reality for MOST series it probably won't make a massive difference because most series are policed by the marshals and observers on post. The bigger televised ones may have a more stricter stance on it as race control can make quicker decisions on the fly.
I know from personal experience that these rules on the day are quite hard to police as it depends on the observer as to whether things get reported at all in some cases! You will also see that the rule will be policed harder at MSVR tracks than other circuits.

Re: BTCC 2014
I said about the new rule in August and Id like to see how it goes, I think its a good idea, will make drivers think.
