General Rules & Driving Etiquette
TORA expects competitors who partake in its championships and meetings to behave in an appropriate and respectable manner. Insulting comments or behaviour towards fellow competitors and race stewards is unacceptable and will be dealt with severely.
Track Limits
The track limits are determined by the solid white lines either side of the track. At all times, two wheels must remain on this part of the circuit, unless of an occurrence where it is near to impossible to keep two wheels on the track.. During a race meeting, each time the track limits are not adhered to, a warning will be given. Each driver are allowed five warnings of all four wheels leaving the track via the inside of a corner, at any part of the circuit. If a sixth and subsequent "corner cutting" occurrences happen within a race meeting, then that driver will be DQ.
The track limits must be adhered to in the event of gaining an advantage.
TROC Lap
1 TROC lap will consist of a car driving one way around the track when they get to the start/finish line they are to turn their car around making sure ALL fours wheels cross the line, they are then to make their way around the other way. When they cross the line that will end the race.
2 TROC Laps will consist of a car driving one way around the track when they get to the start/finish line they are to turn their car around making sure ALL fours wheels cross the line, they are then to make their way around the other way, when they get to the start/finish line they are to turn their car around making sure ALL fours wheels cross the line(this completes one lap), they are then to make their way around the other way, when they get to the start/finish line they are to turn their car around making sure ALL fours wheels cross the line, they are then to make their way around the other way. When they cross the line that will end the race.
2013 TORA MSA Race of Champions
The TORA MSA ROC series will take place on the 5th of January 2014 in a knockout round event with one championship up for grabs.
ROC CHAMPIONSHIP
This will be a championship fought by each driver for themselves. The driver who gets to the last round and wins is the Champion.
- Substitute Drivers
For the length of the event there will be NO substitute driver.
Track
The Track in use this year will be Tsukuba Full.
Cars
This is a multiple car event with each event having a head to head race using the same car.
Race Rules
Race Meeting Set-Up
RACE
TORA’s ‘Live Timing’ system will be in use during the event. We ask that all competitors remain on Xbox live for the start of the race. ONE invite will be sent out to all race entrants. This will denote your race lobby. If a connection issue is apparent please contact the race director or lobby host ASAP and they will do their best to ensure you can connect to the race lobby.
Competitors who are not connected to the host’s room, or contacted a race official to explain a delay, after 10 minutes of the race lobby invite has been sent will not be able to take part in race.
Group Stage’s – All drivers will be put into groups, each driver will have to race each driver within their group. The top two drivers who gets the most wins will advance to the next stage.
Each race will be one TROC lap of the circuit. This will consist of going both ways around the track
and each race will last around 3 minutes.
There will be no mandatory pit stops during the races.
Line Up and Standing Start
Competitors will line up on the grid as per lobby host instructions. One car will line up on the left hand side of the track heading the forwards direction of the track while the other car will line up on the right hand side of the track heading towards the reverse direction of the track. Each car is to line up in front of the start/finish line to be facing each other. The lobby host will line up at the side of the track facing the line.
To achieve the standing start the competitors line up on the grid, when ready the Lobby Host will then confirm the grid is set and ready. The lobby host will pick a time on the overall Race Timer for when the race will start. The time that is chosen would normally be 30/45/60 seconds on the race timer depending how long the cars take to line up. When the timer reaches the chosen value the race will commence by both drivers accelerate from their grid slot. Jump starts will be investigated by the Race Chief after the group stage is complete and will result in a DQ.
Jump Start.
Within 0.100 Seconds of Start time then a Warning is given out.
Anything over 0.100 Seconds is an automatic DQ.
Settings
- Collisions during all races will be off, and set with Simulation Damage. Normal/Simulation Steering are the only allowed driving aids that may be used. Driver Line, TCS, ABS, STM, Auto-brake and Auto-gears are prohibited. Manual gears must be used but it is up to the competitor if they wish to use the clutch or not.
- The race will be set to a pre-determined amount of laps of 1 TROC lap.
Round 1 Stages – All drivers that advance from the group stages will be put into their round slot and will race head to head in a one race knockout where the winner will advance to the next stage.
Each race will be one TROC lap of the circuit. This will consist of going both ways around the track
and each race will last around 3 minutes.
There will be no mandatory pit stops during the races.

3rd place shoot out – The two drivers that failed to advance from the Semi Finals will be put into their 3rd Place Shoot Out slot and will race head to head in a one race knockout where the winner will Crowned 3rd Place.
Each race will be two TROC lap of the circuit. This will consist of going both ways around the track
and each race will last around 5 minutes.
There will be no mandatory pit stops during the races.

One car will line up on the left hand side of the track heading the forwards direction of the track while the other car will line up on the right hand side of the track heading towards the reverse direction of the track. The Final – The two drivers that advanced from the Semi Finals will be put into their Final slot and will race head to head in a best out of 3 races where as the first driver has two wins is crowned the Champion.
Each race will be two TROC lap of the circuit. This will consist of going both ways around the track
and each race will last around 5 minutes.
There will be no mandatory pit stops during the races.
