Re: TORA Charity Event - 1000km Bathurst - Qualification Sessions
Next time for a super pole can we please turn collisions off as I was too busy worry about someone binning it on there bloody in lap (don't even get me started!?!?!) over the mountain and on the map as I approached it showed them sitting at blind narrow section of the track.
Turning up tonight was a waste of my time :/

I had totaled my car at the chicane and it was either sit there while you go past or be really slow on the actual track round the blind corners

One does wonder how one can damage their car on an in-lap?

I was easily the slowest car on track so i was pushing to get to the pits before i was caught and dirtied someones lap, within 5 10 seconds of me crashing 2 cars went past me

Yes, I'll confirm the time with Simon, but he's going to "live" stream it using the replay tomorrow (so you get TV camera angles rather than just my onboard) with commentary.

I think the learning here is collisions off to prevent something like this again.

To be fair to MAB, he did say that he was off the track (i.e. clear for you to go flat) - I don't think it would have affected me the way you say it did you. Collisions are on in real life, as they are here. You have to play the cards you're dealt.

Collisions off wouldn't have changed anything - you didn't hit another car.
Re: TORA Charity Event - 1000km Bathurst - Qualification Sessions
No but i was worried about here his car was sitting, it looked like it was in a slightly different location on the mini-map so i took action to avoid it as i know how tight the track is there and specifically knew collisions were on from the grid. I was too busy looking at the mini and for where his car was I over shot the corner. I've had my moan (and flame) and I'm done, i'm not going to labour the point.
And a note on real life, the session would have been red flagged and I would have got a re-run

Turns out not a total waste - your out lap was clean, and therefore put you ahead of the two dirty time-setters!!

I did enjoy myself tonight, really liked the unique qualifying format. Looking forward to Sunday.
