Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Well i started off at a 27.7, down to a 26.6 but can feel a few more niggly tenths in the ferrari!
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
1:29.581 with Sebring 12 Hour Tune after 8 Laps on track and then self spun off turn 2. Car needs more stability. Thinking about running more DF in order to create that. It also needs more turning ability, the first Hairpin corner in the Infield the car wants to run WAY Wide off the track and its hard to keep it turned unless I slow down and kill time.

I'm running no downforce as it seriously hampers the speed coming round the back straight and I can easily make turn 1 flat without the downforce. What car you running?

Ahh! I ran the sebring tune and went slower, catalunya tune seems to work better dude! Which makes no sense!
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Did a few laps last night, 1.26.798, Sebring tune from HCR in the 458.

Down to a 1:25.9xx, could gain maybe another tenth or so but that's definitely the best I can do.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Splits for a 1:25.9 in the 458, could only put a 26.2 together though. I'm expecting a mid 25 out of something with more straight line speed.

Ive got the Corvette ZR1 with an Yamagura Lambo tune on it. I know Hayden said the 458, but I tested both cars and I still cant get a feel for either one. I will be running the Corvette for the rounds I can make. I just need someone to help teach me to tune cars period. Im sick of being in the lowest lobby in every series I run with the top teams.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Wait what? You put a mid-engined handling car setup... on a Front-engined Accel car?
Uh huh, I'll send you a decent all-round tune you can tweak to preference.
NO ONE can teach you to tune to your touch, I mean most of it is understanding how a car behaves, and adjusting to make it change its behaviour, one driver showing you the way they tune won't actually help you all that much, they' be showing you what you could do but you won't be driving the same car underneath.
If you want to Learn how to tune a car, and I mean REALLY learn, it comes out of effort, just like racing, someone can teach you lines ect but you still need to go out and find your own style to approach those corners dude.
Keep an eye on your inbox in the morn, ill send you a setup and a quick run-down on how to tweak if it needs it
