Hello Forza 5 drivers

The TORA Stewards are looking for members to help with our Forza 5 championships. A stewards job is to maintain a high level of driving standards by looking into SIs that are submitted by drivers. SIs do take time as we have put them up in the stewards section, PM drivers, look at footage, submit our view, close SIs, PM drivers, submit any appeals and make SIs public.

So... rough estimates for GT times? Still have no idea how I compare  

Many of the faster guys are talking about 2:05's and 6's

Yeah, I've done a little bit of tuning and down into low 2.06's for GT class. Hopefully low 5's or late 4's when it comes to it but I can't see a 4 being a possibility for me   

Hope I have a better race this time round, Road America is one of my faves

Okay! I'm at low :05's now, making changed to maybe get a high 4!

This wouldn't have been anything anyone has done deliberately and its a really simple process, this may or may not help with joining lobbies. NAT settings are the predominant factor to be honest but if I am running .001 and you are running .002 it is bound to cause a conflict in connection at some point.

It really easy to check, simply go on to "SETTINGS" then "CONSOLE" and finally "UPDATE CONSOLE". It is of no rist and takes 2 minutes to safeguard your own race as well as other peoples.

+ those with sky (uk) using the sky router, please follow this link ( http://www.avforums.com/threads/open-nat-type-with-sky-router.1555236/ ) if you are having trouble with NAT settings. As for Virgin media customers, remember after reconfiguring to leave the console unplugged for 3 minutes so the console can register the change properly.

I know you all probably know this just thought i would try to help.

I joined the series expecting not to make too many races due to work, that's why I took the fourth slot on a team. Finally got this Saturday off for Road America, but I might just not compete due to forced clutch. I can run clutch fine on the 360, but the controller for the One doesn't work the way I like. I have to brake with my middle finger which is highly unnatural for me, and I just end up locking my brakes or flying off the road every corner :(I will try to practice some more, but if it looks like I'll be spending half the time off the track, I wont even bother. My biggest concern is locking up and slamming right into the back of a GT car, and if I can't even keep relative pace with the competition, it won't be that fun.

Really sucks, I was very excited to finally run, until I tried clutch.

switch the clutch to the A button, then use your thumb to hit both buttons at once. Works pretty much the same as manual!

Just out of interest what kind of time differences are there by using or not using clutch, I know the staff here have tested most things to death but im just curious as to whether that is something where maybe lobby B racers and below could be allowed to do. Obviously if theres gain as a result I would understand, but maybe some wriggle room could attract additional people

Clutch is very marginally faster, actually. If it was a lower class car it would be a bigger advantage, but at higher classes, it's barely a difference.

All drivers Q times must be in tonight i shall not be chasing drivers for times ,on a side note shall we encounter issues like last week those that set lap times will take priority over drivers that just post in.

Well qualifying times are updated Ricky i dont know how you done it but nice lap now you just have to keep it together for the race

Sorry for quitting gents but after being wrecked, losing all motivation and then wrecking twice more I just wasn't going to be a good participant for the remainder of the race. Was too frustrated. See you all at Le Mans

I'm sorry man!!!! I didn't have the best race either! Is it Long Beach or Le Mans next?

Congrats on the win Ricky. Good race guys! Also thanks Chris for letting me try out your tune! It took a little bit to get used to but I got the hang of it towards the end of the race.

I drove way to aggressive today and it cost me dearly , still we have a break next week the Q thread will open as normal but you get the extra week to practice .
