I've been confused about if it's Long beach or Le Mans, but I believe it's Le Mans with the chicanes on the Mulsanne.

Yeah, I just saw that in the thread I didn't look, lol. I think it was one of the spreadsheets in a different order and I saw the "le mans break" in the schedules that threw me off. Plus, I see it is La Sarthe on the series calendar anyway. Should have taken a couple extra seconds I guess, lol. And congrats Ricky... I take it you won this week?

Long Beach is the next race, everything was pushed back but the track order remains the same. Le Mans was always going to be last.

Just started running around Long Beach, and thought of something: on the corner with the speed bumps that you can cut a little if you get it right, how will corner cutting apply there? Because you do gain a big advantage if you cut it alittle bit, but it's not really the racing line.

Pretty sure you'll spin atleast once if you hit that.

That's also true Nathan... I try to avoid the speed bumps entirely, since it upsets the car too much. But it is very much up for interpretation.

I think there are 3 corners that can be cut over rumble strips and while the game does allow it my personal opinion is that 1 its risky as it can spin you and 2 while the track isnt defined here it is still seen as abusing the track limits.

Yeah I think everyone is acute to the etiquette here but to be honest, those twinkies at long beach will bite and when they do there is a wall waiting for the victim and then a gingerly stroll to the pits awaits. That small cut versus a potential date with the wall is not worth it.

had a GT 30 lap race here last night an its incredibly, ridiculously narrow for clean passes. multi class is going to be insane. there was one guy who was 3 seconds a lap faster than the guy infront and when he caught up he literally couldn't pass for like 10 laps lol loads of rear end crashes happened too. this is one track you should practice racing with collisions on. pace wont win you the race here its spacial awareness

We have to take the rough with the smooth no room here then following race at Le Mans with plenty , but at long beach I will be hesitant to make passes unless I can clearly communicate with the GT traffic.
For the LMP drivers this could be like our Monaco and May be won on pit strategy and luck with traffic.

Yeah passing on this track is going to be very interesting. There are only a few places you can cleanly pass and at that it will be taking it all the way to the apex of the turn. It's like Monaco, Grid position and consistency is key.

I've droped into the low 13's for clean no corner cut laps, I have pulled a couple mid 12's but I keep scraping the last tire wall and getting a dirty lap. XD
