Re: TCR Touring Masters General Discussion
Great racing last night. Race 2 especially, some great racing throughout the field.
Congratulations to tubbi on his clean sweep. You were in a league of your own mate. I couldn't get near those lap times you were doing. 👍

Re: TCR Touring Masters General Discussion
never had so much fun, had a great run in race 1 with nothing overly major, race 2 was running about 3rd before I ran wide at the final corner and dropped to about 7th/8th, had a cracking battle with Eggy's Volvo and eventually got 5th and race 3 again was a cracker. Loved every minute and to be 4th after the 1st meeting is brilliant for me, can't wait til next week

Thanks for the kind words mate our battle was definitely my highlight of the night!
Had a good night if a little frustrating. I don't know if I was getting tired by that point or what was going on but I struggled with the last chicane all night which resulted in a spin and a trip into the side of HCR Super T's BMW (Sorry again) and big trip across the grass in the same place in Race 3. Frustrated with myself but definitely something good to build on for the Season!
These rules have created a great Championship with close racing in cars which take real skill to drive, I hope this the first of many seasons!
See you all at Round 2!!!

Re: TCR Touring Masters General Discussion
Cheers all! I am so happy to see you all have found the cars as fun to drive as I have, and want to again thank Jabberwockies 1 for his assistance in testing the car list.
I had some insane battles throughout the night myself. Early on in race 1, I had a hard hit into the back of Weasel Seeker, which resulted in some engine and drivetrain damage, but still had a race long battle with Lonewolf.
Then in race 2, I had an early battle with Jonno, to be followed with a great battle with Sim40 including a couple laps of me telling him "still there" as we were side by side for a long time.
Race 3 saw another early battle with Jonno, but it seems my grippy Bimmer put too much pressure on his speedy Cossie on the twisty bits.

Re: TCR Touring Masters General Discussion
mikey it was more my conservative approach that led to the crash between me and you. I do remember laughing a fair bit listening to you saying still there still there for over a lap I think. just want to say thanks again for putting on a good race, hope the next one is as clean and fun.and if anyone is up for practice add me and when im on e will run a few laps

Re: TCR Touring Masters General Discussion
I only tested the Volvo and Alfa in the pre-season and the times were pretty equal between them.
I'll test a couple of other cars later to see how they compare to the times I've been getting in the Volvo.
The car list is a bit of an odd mix between Group A and Supertouring. I'm a bit surprised the 242 Turbo wasn't chosen instead of the 850 and the Alfa left out for a wholly RWD, Group A lineup but for all I know that could have been tested and found not to work.

Yes. I amended the rules page yesterday to clarify: All entries are allowed one car change.

Cat's better than Hockeyrink, and less used than Nurb GP. I do wish I had replaced Hockeyrink with Nurburgring though.
Re: TCR Touring Masters General Discussion
Motegi would be better for the Volvo.
I think it surprised a few people how well it came out of the low speed corners at Hockenheim like the hairpins.
Wouldn't say no to Suzuka either and think we should have an Asian track on the schedule with the Skyline in the Car List. Maybe as a bonus 'flyaway' or meadley of a few tracks at the end of the season

The second season of Touring Masters (Winter/Spring 2015) will see a more Global schedule.

Yeah, when something works, it gets done at least twice.

Re: TCR Touring Masters General Discussion
I may not be as quick as I wish I was these days, but I am very happy when a series goes according to plan. Hearing that one of my harebrained ideas is enjoyed by all is for me better than a podium in the A Lobby, or a podium in general, or making the A Lobby...
And to see a balancing act of unbalanced cars firsthand, as the Ford and Benz outrun my Bimmer on anything resembling a straightaway, only to make up all that distance and then some in the twisty bits... exactly the sort of back and forth I was hoping for, and a "balance" that just cannot be found with equal cars.
Thanks to all for your support in making this what is turning out to be a very memorable series. Cheers!
