Welcome to the inaugural Forza Motorsport 6 running of the TORA American Iron UK series

This series, first run on Forza Motorsport 4, features a wide array of US Muscle Cars produced between the years 1964 and 1999, and balanced to produce some very close racing between some rather diverse machines. The builds are limited to naturally aspirated V8 engines, rear wheel drive, with race tires, race brakes and full rollcages, but are otherwise open for you to build to your driving style and may be rebuilt to maximize performance on the wide array of circuits throughout the series.

I have shared builds for (almost?) every car on the list, all upgraded but in default trim. If you're having a hard time choosing a car, you may want to see how they feel before making a choice.

anyone done some laps around Sebring full? I would like to see where I stand for the series

I've "heard" of some 2.16's, my current best is a low 2:19, and many are in the 2:20/2:21s.

How are people doing on fuel mileage? Because I'll be totally honest in that i might need to 2-stop a 45 minute race in my current car...

Oh, also, I assume we're running 'Simulation' fuel & Damage, the rules say limited but there doesn't seem to be that option any more.

First off, thanks for the Limited damage whoops info. I will fix that as indeed it is Simulation.

And the race distance has been based off one stop for every car as in 17 Laps at Sebring. The worst fuel run I'd done or heard of in testing was 9 laps. The best run I'd seen was just at 12.

Some races however will see two stops needed. Daytona being an example of that.

Cool, cheers - and I can confirm a 9-lap stint as the best I've managed to get out of the 'cuda so far I think it's a combination of the weight and wide tyres compared to the others cars we've tested.

There's a few cars at that fuel range. And a few that get better economy. We're testing both ends to get as fair a middle as we can for lap counts.

good racing all round i had Haydie up my arse near enough all that race and i couldnt catch the others enjoyed it

Yeah great race managed to make up a few positions as-well and finish mid pack when I thought I would fail and be last just got to work on this chat as I cant hear most people especially you mikey lol cant wait till next race

The XBL chat system is an issue that is hard to work around, unless we have 12 max in a lobby to utilize party chat. That makes some things a pain, and is why I like to have someone repeat instructions in hopes that between two or three of us, everyone can hear someone.

Lagging out early was a bit heartbreaking, but the racing was good while it lasted.

Its cool mate I understand it can be a bit pooh lol and that's a shame dude about lagging out hopefully it wont be an issue next time matey

Is the UK championship closed? The servers are absolute crap these days!

This is the week for any car changes among those who have actually competed a round. There is a 50 Driver Point penalty for this change, however after next race, that penalty will be all Driver Points accumulated.

I'd like to apply for a change to this week's results - I finished above Fazed intro, but only because he got punted off by the AI driver of an already-finished car, so I'd request that our finishing positions be switched back so he's ahead of me.

Had a great battle tonight. Hoohoohoo, I was trying so hard to hold my position lol.

we started on time but we got 5 dnf's in the race 3 of them people who were fighting for the title so that pritty much sucks, hopefully it doesnt happen again or ill be pulling out of the series
