TORA US American Iron General Discussion

Welcome to the inaugural Forza Motorsport 6 running of the TORA US American Iron series

This series, first run on Forza Motorsport 4, features a wide array of US Muscle Cars produced between the years 1964 and 1999, and balanced to produce some very close racing between some rather diverse machines. The builds are limited to naturally aspirated V8 engines, rear wheel drive, with race tires, race brakes and full rollcages, but are otherwise open for you to build to your driving style and may be rebuilt to maximize performance on the wide array of circuits throughout the series.

You guys are killing me with the 9pm start times lately! I'll most likely sign up for this, but with the races scheduled for 45 min it remains to be seen whether I can get them in.

I have shared builds for (almost?) every car on the list, all upgraded but in default trim. If you're having a hard time choosing a car, you may want to see how they feel before making a choice.

buick should be banned, my team is doing 2.15. on it.

It's not great everywhere, as it's not the easiest car to get to spec.

I take it you have to swap the motors in the GNX because it's a turboed V6 out of the box...

You got a screenshot of that? I assume you mean at Sebring?

I'm in the 16s but I must be missing something with the Buick.

Edit- Found an alternate car that'll do 15s eventually.

It has now been banned. thank you Daniel for pointing his out.

Yea, the Buick did 13s. Got a 2:13.5 in the '79 Camaro as well. That might need a ban as well.

I know that Camaro will not match that pace elsewhere... or at least "highly doubt" it will.

79 Camaro is a great lobby car so I'd suspect it'd be really fast pretty much anywhere with some build tweaks.

We reluctantly had to cut it from the list. Not only was it that much quicker at Sebring, it also got nearly double the fuel mileage.

Who got the Tora sticker to put on our race cars?

I need a replay for Sebring, A-Lobby. I beleive that i was intentionally wrecked by Redman and I need proof. Thank you.

Well the replay is only good for half the race. Looks like I'm S.O.L. Redman, next time you overtake someone, keep it clean. You hit me several times during that race and when you got into my quarter panel it was your responsibility as the overtaking driver to
1: make a clean pass
and 2: if you are in someone's quarter panel, let off or brake to avoid a collision, which you did not.

You could've easily left distance and gotten a better run on a straight anywhere in the race. Instead you try in the chicane after the hairpin. What were you thinking!?!

To then blame me, when you were in the *back of my car was laughable.

You're fast but you need to work on overtaking.

I had a look at Ben's after deleting my file, same story. Only good through about the end of lap 9-10 depending on the driver.

The incident happened between laps 14-15.

hello everyone i dont like to report no one but on the first race on tora after a couple of years, it didnt go like i aspect, back then when someone take out other racer it was supouse to give him his posicion back it didnt hapen with me and damaged my car ,i hope it get better on the next race, i had some clips but i am not allow to post yet because i am a new member good races to everyone se you on laguna seca
