I'll start off a 8:52:2xx in a TCC car

8:17:2XX in Huracan

8.21.5xx in an r8

Damn you, I just got a 24 in the R8 haha

Meanwhile... barely hitting 8:38 in the Mercedes in GT. Is that car just slow here or do I suck? Feels really slow on the Dottingher Hoe.

The car can go about 15 seconds quicker than that. You may not suck but your tune probably requires work.

I decided to hold the loud pedal in a little longer in some of the corners, got down to an 8:33.

Would it be smart to run a softer setup here?

You would think so. Try a softer suspension but stiffer damping.

So not too different then, the car's only issue is fuel mileage really, it cuts it close so any accidents mean it can't gain anything back.

its 2 or 3 laps on fuel I think

All GT cars make 3, though the Audi and Ferrari are the worst on fuel of the bunch.

Just makes it more risky if have an accident, or if you're not as good on fuel as others aha. Other that, strong choice.

Yes it can, I was just saying all cars do a minimum of 3.

In TCC I think the cars will be just shy of 4, if you fuel save you probably could make it. The Merc I think is the closest- stock build it would do 4 laps with like 2% remaining in the tank.

Mercedes can pull 4 laps with some serious fuel saving.

Essentially, that's what will happen. We made 4 mandatory stops so that cars were not selected based on poor fuel economy. TCC there are 3 mandatory for the same reason. Cars that can go the extra distance may choose to stop after 4 laps, and then after 2 later in stint. As is, every car will be stopping one more time than they need- Since the top racers in GT will do a touch over 12 laps, you'd only need to stop on laps 3, 6, and 9. Cars that could do 4 laps would stop on laps 4 and 8, and *maybe* squeeze through to finish the stint, but it'd be extremely close.

To answer the question- Pitting every 3rd lap is NOT mandatory, just that you take 4 pits per stint in GT.

Now, if Forza had not set every car in the game to have 20 liters as a "full" tank, we could actually go a decent length without refueling... Hopeful for FM7 that this is fixed, perhaps more accurate feeling with tire wear too

But yeah shame the fuel tank is so small. But still feels more real to pit now instead on Forza 4 where it didn't matter anything.

Anyone willing to throw up an SLS tune? I'm 99% sure it's just us being bad not the car, but I can't seem to find a tune at the right PI to try.

Why dont you share your tune and see if anyone is willing to give you feedback on it? That might be easier since it would still let u control any adjustments in the future
