I can't decide what a good time will be. I've hit some 18's pretty consistently but I've heard anything from 5 secs quicker to 10 seconds slower.

does anyone have a tune for the corvette as i cannot get under 9 mins, i have tried to tune out the slide from the back but i couldnt make it work and i even looked for a tune that was the same pi but no luck.i just would like a solid tune that will at least get me under 9 mins.

I am sure if you ask Forceone nicely enough and get yourself online at a time he is on, he can share the tune on the storefront for a minute while you grab it.

8:26.4xx in the corvette. Vampira, here is one of our tunes that makes the car much nicer to drive, the back end is slippy in the karussell so be careful but other than that it goes quite well, hope this works for you:

cheers dude i shall give that a go.on a side note i did manage to tune out the slide on my own set up and it even improved the times on GP and the Nordschleife but did not try on the 24hr layout but i will give this new tune a go.

Ok I'm really at a loss here. I can't run any better than a 8:51.xxx in the merc GT. Darkzer24 and I are o. The same team and are using the same tune. I'm using TCS only, manual, ABS off. I don't know how I'm so slow. I'd be happy getting another 10 seconds just so I'm out of the way for the TCC cars. Someone please help me.

Are you staying on the track every lap or are you coming off track ok a regular basis?

Do you normally run with ABS off or is that new for you?

Are you running with any type of driving line on? Having the braking line might help you.

It's truly about learning the track. If I followed you, I can guarantee the reason why you're getting those times is because you just don't have the experience to know how fast to go through corners. I hope that doesn't come off as arrogant or elitist, what I mean by that is this: Take the long left after Flugplatz (a.k.a. Schwedenkreuz). It's barely a lift or flat out in the touring cars, with a slight lift in GT cars. If I had to guess, you're probably braking a fair amount for that corner. Watch replays on the Rivals section to see and HEAR the lines, i.e. listen to when someone stays on throttle or not.

Thats why I had asked if he was staying on track or not. With only a few days left until the race, he needs to focus on the proper fix for his situation.

If he's fast but sloppy, coming off the track on every lap, he shouldnt go watch replays.. he would need to go into free play, set laps to something ridiculous, turn off the lap timer HUD and just go run laps. Lap after lap not thinking about time, just letting the track burn itself into his memory so that he isnt having to think about what corner is next.

If his problem isnt being sloppy, instead of going off track hes staying on track and laying down clean but slow laps, then he needs to do what Diablo said. Go into rivals, turn telemetry on, and watch what others are doing... Then set your rival to someone a few seconds faster than you and work on beating their ghost.. But this method of trying to find ways to be faster through certain sectors/corners will be a waste of time over the next 4 days if he doesnt already have the course memorized.


TL/DR: going off track? Go lay down a ton of laps. Clean but slow? Go spend time watching replays from rivals and try to beat some rival ghosts once you find areas to improve.

But having said all that, Diablo is way faster than I am, so maybe take his advice over mine lol

My Vette time was with TCS on, full front and no rear aero.

For those who find themselves significantly off the pace, turn on the driving line if you don't have it on - it's there for a reason. If that still doesn't help, I heavily suggest going into TC if you're in GT. Having GT cars at TC pace was a problem before.

Whats the starting procedure going to look like? If you give GT a head start ( either 2 minutes or roughly 10,000 feet) then the track layout should prevent top TCC traffic from catching slow GT traffic. If we start every stint that way then TCC wouldnt catch up to the back of GT other than as a reault of wrecks.
