Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
Just wanted to thank our quali lobby host Cowmaster934 for doing a great job with quali this evening given the servers were acting up yet again and a few of us got booted out but Cowmaster934 kindly waited for us to get back in again before getting the quali session going, so for that mate many thanks.
As always super job by our lobby race host Hunty. Always professional and always a pleasure to run in his lobby, cheers Hunty for another job well done mate.
Really enjoyed the racing tonight, everyone raced hard but cleanly, many a great battle up and down the field and those who were getting lapped made sure to move over in a timely manner and not impede faster cars who were lapping, thanks everyone for making it yet another great TORA event. Well done everyone involved.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
The amount of negativity tends to rise dramatically after any race so i'm going to put this here now:
A less than ideal qualifying led me to being slightly lower down the order than i would have wanted, and among some names i have not raced with before. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone in Lobby 5 for their behavior during the race. I only recall hearing about one incident like the ones people are mentioning in the other lobbies. Personally, every single pass that a DP made on myself was careful, cautious and considerate, with most of you guys being left a gap and still opting to wait until a safer place to make the pass happen.
That being said, i don't think any of us made the race distance without a trip into the outside wall of Turn 1, but the majority of people in the party were there to call out slower/damaged cars for the rest of us to be aware of, as well as making people aware of DP's approaching because we had no line of communication with that class.
Special mention to Isyoube for piling on the pressure at the end and finishing with a gap of only 60ft, and to Viper Polo and Marshy231 for chasing us down in the final stages, a few more laps guys and that could have been on hell of an ending.
Also an apology from me for the abandoned start; that was because i was afk and in the process of making sure handicaps apply, i got put in the wrong car and didn't realise until we had started, so yeah... well done Baku!
Again though, well done guys, you made it a real pleasure to race this round, i'll see you all at Indianapolis.

I was in Lobby B and most - not all - but most of the DP drivers were horrible. They were divebombing all the time, taking risks and (passivly) pushing GT cars of the track. Over the last two years I've driven TEC and ASCC and I never have experienced anything as bad as today.
Still serious about the post above.
But I also want to thank the organizers and the lobby hosts. As bad as Forza 7 is in terms of online racing you guys did a really good job yesterday. And I want to thank drivers like ACG No Mercy and the other GT guys which fought a close race with me until I crashed.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
Started my race in lobby B from the last spot. Didnt want to fight during first part of the race and made a first pitstop after lap 1. Was driving alone untill the middle of the race and had a nice few laps fighting with ACG No Mercy before pitting second time with 45min racetime left. Only complaint was mad DP drivers. Divebombing all the time and couple of times pushing ppl out after t6. VSR Daytonas pink Ferrari got also destroyed by dp on t1 at the end of the race.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
For the people in lobby B, I saved the replay after the race on forza. Lets just say there were a lot of paint rubbing in this round particularly with the DP's. Of course there were some who drove the DP beautifully. I particularly didn't have an issue with DP driving. I say VSR did not have a good day at home stead. He got wipped out in turn 1 in lap 2 and the turn 1 in towards the end of the race from a DP. What I don't get, how a DP manage to Kill a GT(hint: VSR Daytona) into a corner. They have a lot more braking power then the rest of the GT field. VSR was right behind me when he got turn into cream cheese. And according to many GT drivers there was a lot of dive bombs from DP which made the GT party chat fun to listen to while racing. Overall there where alot of fun battles I when up against. Made 4th place hard to get in this lobby full of elite drivers. Hopefully we as community can fix this dive bombing issue when a DP is trying to pass a GT. Looking forward to the next event.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
Lobby 6 was cool as usual. Unfortunately I have managed to do a successful pit in 3rd try. My car did not stop for maintenance first 2 times. On top of it I had dc half an hour before end.
Thanks to all staff crew as this season is a big deal and managing 6 or 7 lobbies ain't easy.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
AMS Vanquish slapping GT’s off the track going into T1 was a little disappointing and a little impressive. Dude doesn’t give a fork and it’s actually minorly heroic. 😂
Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
Was great racing in lobby 2 with the DP. All Gt's just stayed in line and doing all great. I don't really know if i ever hit someone, but if i did my apologies for that person or hit me with a PM. But great people in GT!
Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
Need some clarifications concerning the track limits
White Line ? Curb ? Especially because there is no white line at the corner exiting the oval near the end of the lap.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
To be honest, I've questioned this myself, in my head. I can go a few seconds quicker without getting a 'dirty' lap, is anyone going to re-watch the qualifying to check people haven't cut corners to get into a higher lobby? And what will the punishment be if they have?

If someone in your lobby reports you for such then yes, or even a TORA Steward in your lobby witnesses you deliberately and repeatedly breaking the rules then indeed footage from race replay and streams can and will be looked at. Unfortunately, by mentioning this you have now, maybe inadvertently, attracted attention to yourself for stating such.
The rules are there for everyone to make it fair for everyone so don't cheat others or yourself and risk being penalised.
Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
I did sign in but the sheet says I'm out.
I want to compete ... is there still time to join someone?
EDIT:
RACE sign in didnt work for me ... (i did it 2 days ago) ... just wanted to let you know that I want to compete (know that i'll end up in the last lobby)

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
I had an incredible race today with HCR Faithless. Full on 75 minute fight, largest the gap got was 400 ft on pit cycle.
Amazing racing.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
I kinda messed up my qualy, so I was surprised to just make it into Lobby A. I was up for a battle for 4th till 7th (including me) until Forza decided to screw me over. 3 DP cars could not see me on track, I could see them. Result being I was shunted of the track 2 times and had to take severe evasive actions to prevent it from happening again.

Re: TORA ASCC - General Discussion
I was thinking why we can not run in Lap Race format in Race Setup. Pole in DP was 1:15:000 at Laguna. Let say a DP are goodlike and they gonna do hot laps 1:10:000 to make math easy. 1:10:000 is 70 seconds. Race last for 90 minutes which is 5600 seconds. Lets divide stuff and we have 80 laps to do for DP with a back up time for pit stops and formation lap.
Now we race for 90 minutes since start and fnish as usual then to get credits we do remaining laps.
This will let us see times and keep track of the pace as well as dirty laps.
Is there a reason I am not aware of why current format is better?
