Thanks for the response. Just means qualifying replay will have to be saved and checked over really.
Lets just hope everyone plays fair.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Lap Times
I know the purists will get up in a fit but, (so basically anyone that's hardline on the "painted line rule" stop reading here)
I'll also add the disclaimer that this is my OPINION, and everyone is entitled to their own views - These are just mine.
I'd run over the curbing and use Forza clean because A, someone's going to get away with it in qualifying and others won't; B, during the race people are going to mess up and fly over the curb anyway. For DTM, they fly over the curb in T1. The same line of thinking is why at Daytona for ASCC last year, I relaxed the rules for the Bus Stop because there's no sense in trying to enforce that when all it'll result in is finger-pointing and inconsistent rulings. In American Iron, a lot of people took the "NASCAR" line in the Short Chute even though that's not standard "TORA rules" and nothing was said otherwise. Also, last point, the time you gain from Forza clean compared to curb is not *that* much, maybe .2 at most. That could be used in an argument against running Forza clean in T1 but I think the flow of racing would be better using the additional run off.
TL;DR Forza clean because it'll reduce mayhem and reduce finger-pointing on SI's.

I noticed right away how "forgiving" Forza is with this track for keeping laps clean. I had the same question yesterday and was going to ask, but I looked at the rules and it says the white line is the boundary. I guess its only an inch or so typically between the white line and the curb and its certainly not going to make much of a difference for me. Not like its keeping me from reaching the A lobby or anything.
I ran a low of 1:10.3 in the Veloster last night and it was Forza clean. I'll be paying closer attention going forward to staying TORA clean.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Lap Times
Forza clean -vs- TORA clean is currently being debated within upper staff members.
Hope to have a definitive answer shortly.
Hope to have a definitive answer shortly.
Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Lap Times
OK guys, here is the ruling and rationale behind it...
Turn 1 boundaries at Hockenheim will be ruled as "Forza Clean", which means we will allow the "green" bit of run-off to be used.
The consensus is the same for this corner as it was in American Iron at Sonoma Short, or ASCC at Daytona: it would create too many man hours of stewarding to police. It allows for more racing surface to be used, hopefully minimizing accidents within close quarters racing. And if one person seemingly "gets away with it" may as allow all to do the same.
That being said, with this bit of leniency, Stewards WILL crack down hard on those that go beyond the green area in this corner. We are giving an inch, not a mile, so don't even think about trying to take more.

Focus - 1:08.045
Hyundai - 1:08.231
Didn't need to make new tunes for this week. Used the Maple Valley one for the Focus and the Road Atlanta one for the Hyundai. Both tunes should be shared.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Lap Times
I'd imagine so, I haven't done any practice w/ Forza clean lines. With 2 wheels on the curb I did a number of .4's and .5's
The Megane just is a couple clicks off the Veloster overall, the Ford is just dumb in the corners and can easily flat out corners the other cars can't. The 07 Civic moves around here too.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Lap Times
I did a couple 9.4s yesterday but they're a bit sloppy.
I'm sure I can get into the high 8s but I'll barely get home in time for qualifying.
This is going to be an interesting round...

@ Melody22B
I suggest that you watch the 2 Replays that HaydieT has posted here.
It helped me to get a 1:10.8 in my Hyunddai N from high 1:11's.
I race with the Thrustmaster TMX Pro wheel setup. It's not as fast as a controller, but sure fun using a wheel.
Try to follow the same lines in your car.
Good luck!

Subbed out the condiments for cotton candy.
it's not as ugly as my American Iron liveries, but it is rather bright.
