I haven't had time Louis to read the other posts. Thats why I'm asking. But I will get to read them after.
I just saw this, so im double posting
there are quite a few bugs dan but they dont occur (at least for me) very often. The only one that does is the pit lane holding glitch (which drew my ire a few posts up) and after that is the ghosting, and that only happens if i do a flying qually start and spawn really close to another car, or if i reset to track in a bunch of traffic. I did experience the impossible AI on catalunya but that whole track is glitchy as is.
*disclaimer* these are my experiences and do not necessarily reflect the experiences of others on this forum.
Re: F1 2010: The Game
Apparently, if you do 40% race distances you get a lot lees bugs and the pit lane holding thing doesn't happen. Apparently.
Re: F1 2010: The Game
anyone have a good tune for Kuala Lumpur? i switched my difficulty from intermediate (where i won my first race at Bahrain) to professional (finished 14th at Melbourne), and right now in P1 at Kuala, im struggling at 19th at the moment

Wow, that's a surprise. Although I suppose Halo had a massive week and a half for first sales and now that everyone's got it it will fall the next week. Good to see the hype and excitement about an F1 game at long last.
Re: F1 2010: The Game
I have heard there is a bit of the dreaded rubber banding going on with the AI.. Which is a real shame

Re: F1 2010: The Game
Yeah to put it simple, the AI cheats! I mean i wouldn't be too bothered if it didn't effect me. But in Qually a car could be on your tail for the whole lap and still qualify 2 seconds faster than you....So traffic simply does nothing to AI but If i hit traffic i lose time, and have to run again....Iv'e been blocked ALOT aswell. When the AI come out of the pits they don't care for you on the racing line....they just dart across the track. Iv'e had to dodge cars plenty of times already.
I also don't like the fact that on a number of occasions I have seen times being in the race that are 2 seconds quicker than what they qualified on.
The holding in the pits doesn't effect me anymore, I always run long. Normally starting on the prime tyre....NEVER go with the suggested strategy.
The other day I was on Silverstone, a car spun at Maggots and about 5 cars infront had a pile up...I was less than a second behind the car infront and at that speed I had no chance of avoiding it....So I went straight into the back of them, and recieved a drive through penalty. WTF!

Re: F1 2010: The Game
I've been playing this game since this afternoon and I think its fan-beeding-tastic! It's a lot better than I thought it was going to be!
You can tell the difference literally between the option and prime tyres on the game. But I think the best bit about it was racing in the rain in Malaysia. Its so rewarding when you get it right with the wheel and pedals.
So far in career mode, I've chosen to race the Lotus Cosworth. The difficulty is in expert and I've won two of the three I've done so far which is a bit odd for a car which is normally at the back of the field in real life. lol
Bahrain: Qualified - 6th Finished - 1st
Melbourne: Qualified - 8th Finished - 1st
Malaysia: Qualified - 4th Finished - 3rd
You'll probably hate me for saying this but I don't think I'm going to be touching Forza 3 again.

Re: F1 2010: The Game
Update.... Montreal - Germany
Canada - won!!!!
Silverstone - Crappy home GP... sounds about right for any British GP driver.
Germany - A return to form sees 7th on the grid and a race long battle with the Ferraris until a spin in the final corners before my stop dropped me back. Eventually recovered to 4th, but it cold have been oh so much more. This is utterly addictive gameplay now, even with the bugs etc I love it!

Re: F1 2010: The Game
Leading the championship in my rookie season with the toughest AI by like 50 points. Podiums each race lead to championship. Im running tough difficulty too! (top level AI and limited driver aids) Cant wait to drive a proper F1 car though.
As for glitches, I find the AI timing glitch worst at valencia. I have very few problems elsewhere

Re: F1 2010: The Game
Update - Expert dificulty, manged quali 22 @ monaco 40% race, got 2 6 in the virgin
Re: F1 2010: The Game
I must be hella rubbish at this game then. I'm running the Lotus on Legend AI, TCS at medium, ABS off and braking line on. Full sim. I qualified 18th for the first race, got up to 12th and span putting me to 22nd, then got back to 20th and span again and ended up last but finished 23rd due to Trulli retiring. Moving on to Melbourne, practice the best I can get is 24th with still being about 3 tenths off the next fastest driver. Am I being too cautious or what? I'm taking certain corners slowly so I dont spin. Should I take off the braking line or what coz I'm really struggling.

Re: F1 2010: The Game
i just did china, was running up as high as amazing 5th in a hrt untill i lost a front wing flap on lap 7 had to change the wing at my stop and some slow laps dropped me down to 23rd! finished there, where the target was 18th. now the team want me to finish 12th in the next race its insane!

+1
Only difference for me being that I started off with Virgin Racing not Lotus. Still love the game, I just don't see how people can be complaining about how pi**take easy it is when I'm finding it quite tricky to say the least... not that I doubt others are better than I am, I just can't see where I'm going wrong

Re: F1 2010: The Game
same here. Although I used 'intermediate' difficulty in my first race and won, with it at 'proffesional', my best finish out of the 2 races is 14th. (Finished 12th at Malaysia, but had a 10 second penalty tacked on, so I officially finished 16th, behind my teammate Bruno Senna)

Re: F1 2010: The Game
Is there a legend difficulty? Don't know what it is I'm doing wrong but the highest difficulty level I can set for the race is expert.
Anyway, I think Catalunya is flawed! Just completed a race there and everyone was a lot faster than me; even the HRT's. I was pushing like hell and everyone was somehow going even faster than they did in qualifying . And the bugs do show up more at this track than the others so far. I finished 17th........just! lol

Re: F1 2010: The Game
I get you now.
I think you had to set the difficulty in the press conference at the beginning of the game (I think??). In that case, I've got it on legendary mode.
I'm loving this game more and more but Monaco is cheesing me off right now. I've managed to put the Lotus on pole by just over half a second but I crashed twice in the two attempts so far. I'll try again in the race tomorrow when I'm feeling fresher.
How far have some of you got to now? And how's the title hopes going in a crappy car? I had a four point lead over Alonso after the shambles at Catalunya.

Re: F1 2010: The Game
im enjoying the challenge of mid-pack with the 'professional' A.I. next meeting for me is Catalunya. with what ive read here about the bugs there, im a lil hesitant to race. though, i will try it tomorrow. since july after i slightly injured my left wrist (trying to move a portable basketball net), i cannot race for long distances as i used to. i have a tendency to tilt the controller forward when i race, which, over time, can start to hurt after a while. That was one reason why Chris and I finished so close in the 2,4hr
