Re: Championship Discussion
Race 1 was pretty dissapointing for me, I dropped to 5th I think it was after spinning into a wall when I made contact with Stonewall, it was all my fault. It's a live and learn process, I'll never be overtaking on that corner again
Race 2 was a lot better but somewhat boring. I found a good line and stuck with it the entire race putting me in first. I got scared that Stonewall made it all the way up to second so quickly.

Re: Championship Discussion
^ That's why I had Road Atlanta, the curbs way too high and in order to get a fast lap you have to go over them but not spin like that which is really easy.

Re: Championship Discussion
i personally like Atlanta. just not the babies who frequently cut turn 2 in the public lobbies. not a big fan of the Short/Club circuit though

Re: Championship Discussion
I really didn't give this series/track enough credit. I qualified pretty decent, started poll and by the end of race 1, my hands were shaking from the finish. Race 2 was fun as well but didn't seem as eventful. I was surprised how many times positions changed, from starting pole, to 7th and up to 2nd and down to 5th and back to 2nd. People I thought were waaay behind me were right back up my bumper every time I made a mistake, like spinning my tires going into the S Curves.
Overall it was really fun. Great racing, mostly clean, constant position changes. Almost the opposite of what I expected today at the Club ( ). Can't wait for the next meeting!

you can see the prototypes catch air as they take that curbing over turn 5...and louis will attest to this.
there's been a few times where i'll be standing on the lookout hill behind the catch fence, but standing directly along the fence...and if a car gets going with enough force...it'll spray gravel over the top of those catch fences...which leads you to think about those prototypes. and how they will literally get airbourne hauling ass over those curbs...and it's a great angle, cause you can see the front end of the car, then a side profile... and for a split second, when it's hurtling up that hill and gets on those curbs, it looks like it's gonna come straight at the fence head on and not make the turn...but then the car squats and grips, it's INCREDIBLE to watch, you can especially tell at night when sparks are flying everywhere from the undertrays bouncing. and near the end of the race when they are really pushing the cars.
god it's amazing. i cant wait for petit this year.

Re: Championship Discussion
Had some very good racing last night especially with x3r monkey.
I said to redbeard we'd have some fun round that long right hander before the straight...and I did. I was overtaking on the inside and outside round there, usually only to be caught again before the end of the straight.
The Lotus is great fun though, my only concern is it being a bit short on power.

Re: Championship Discussion
Have to agree with you Switch - absolutely epic racing in Race 2, and credit to you for having the sense/patience to bide your time. I was under pressure from you from lap 3-31 when you finally passed me. I may have to make a highlights video that was so good!
@troff - Don't worry about being a little down on power. As soon as we come to a handling circuit, or one with flowing corners, you'll be dancing around us power boys!

Re: Championship Discussion
Yeah these things tend to balance themselves out, still not looking forward to Road America though.
Very well done to Chillz though. If tonight was any indication of things to come he's going to take some beating this season.

this is why i camp at that turn every year absolutely amazing how they don't crash there every lap, and it's not just the prototypes the GT's do it as well because "it's a 100% blind corner!" according to Jan Magnussen

The replays are all on the lobby hosts storefront so if he feels that he was disadvantaged then he can always submit a stewards enquiry.

Re: Championship Discussion
At TORA we pride ourselves in having clean but fun racing throughout all our lobbies. If he has a problem and would like us to look at it all he needs to do is ask. What he needs to be aware of is that we had a lot of new people racing with TORA, maybe even the first time they have taken part in something like this, and it was the first race of the series in brand new and unknown cars. We give a little lee-way until people find their limits at the start of seasons but we also want to encourage anyone who has been caught up in accidents to try to learn from any mistakes.
I hope he comes back and gives it another go.

Re: Championship Discussion
if your team mate is out then you can join ours and we can then run the lotus, if i'm correct?
Crisis nine cannot race in this series so you can come on board with us and we can run the car we wanted in the first place
