No one but it is allocated to the team "Castrol Egde Strom Lighting" so if they get a third driver they will ran as #10
Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
Sadly I'm missing the opening round due to RL stuff.
Having tested the Civic Si extensively today I can hand on my heart, will all due confidence say AJ and ck will absolutely, completely and utterly, totally and definitely
........not win.

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
It is just the first round and I believe this track is best suited to RWD machinery even though the FWD cars are very close...
I wouldn't worry much about the potential of the Si

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
Cheers Monkey. We had some very close running tonight, and although I was pushing the car very hard, I managed some decent results in places. Personally, I won't be challenging for big results, but I'm looking forward to mixing it with the range of cars we are going to have on show!
Bring on tomorrow night!

I am not fast here hate this track, lets wait till meeting 2

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
I am in the high 36's with little room for improvement. At least there will be a good group of cars in that time range, but definately not top 2 or 3 lobby material from me.

We had 29 runners tonight.
Very good racing in lobby CCB, very close at the front and a big welcome to Fred Kite for his first meeting.

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
I had better results than I should, 5th, 2nd and 3rd, it was brutal out there
In race one I overcooked it at turn 1 and took berty2d to the grass, lap 5 or something, 3 cars passed by in the process, then I couldn't keep up with Gashi but he rolled his Vauxhall some 2 laps before the end, handing me P5.
Race 2 I started 2nd and couldn't keep up with berty2d, the carnage behind helped me a lot (safety car) as rogue would have eaten me if the track had been 45cm longer...
Race 3 more of the same, the Civics and RX8s flying away and I was bringing P5 home when 2 cars way ahead of me collided at the last corner of lap 7.
This is going to be a long and tough series

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
that was great stuff - though the track flatters the Beemer a lot and I think it's likely to struggle more at twistier tracks.
a great dice with Chucky for the lead in race 2 - and by the end there was less then a second covering 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
couple of videos coming up tomorrow...

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
in a truly epic race 3 in A lobby, i started reeling Ian in for the lead, it climaxed in us two tangling and me somersaulting after attempting to pass on the outside of turn 1....
Awsome crash!

Thanks all for great racing
"Leading the points after the first round feels good, and to get a race victory for the team was great."
"Would just like to thanks all our sponsor, crew and team manager even though he couldn't attend this event. We have worked hard on the car and even though its not the fastest hot lapper we have built a great racer with the help of the "super vtec" developed and tuned at the M&M Racing base in Scotland."

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
Pretty uneventful and kinda boring from my point of view. I struggled to keep up in my lobby and finished alot worse than I planned. Maybe Maple just wasn't my track this time around. Really looking forward to Sunset though.
Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
a great qualifying followed by a really hard first two races...but then the last race, the lower A-lobby people get hosed because of the lobby selection process..
so ultimately the whole thing felt very frustrating and futile

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
Did the same thing as magic, set one clean lap on the start, despite pulling over to the side of the track, and my other laps didnt register. ended up in a good lobby though, clean respectable racing racing from d lobby. A great show of etiquette and a passing clinic from magic in race 2. couldnt ask for more, roll on abarths tomorrow and sunset in two weeks
