Not sure I get what you mean.
Lobby A had two of the three races where they were top lobby for points. We've done this reversal in every season we've run only this time we've randomised which of the remaining lobbies get the reversal.
Tonight, if anything, you were the victims of the TCCs success in that we had four lobbies running, meaning the points gap was greater than any other time we've used this method. Had it been lobby D that came up to become lobby A, you'd have become B and been up for good points. But under the old rules, lobby A would have automatically become lobby D, there was no randomisation.
We've said from the very beginning the middle lobbies are great for consistent points, and that's been proved tonight. But on another night, the luck may go a very different way. Regardless, lobby A results carry the biggest points hauls per race and that is worth fighting for.

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
Lobby D had it worst. we had minimal points in the first 2 races, and after the random generator, we only moved up one spot

why not.
go look up the words futile and frustrating. reflect on their meanings for a second. then reflect on the situation from my perspective. to qualify where i did. then in overall points finish behind someone that finished last in each of their lobby (no offense stonewall)
you even admitted we were "victims" of the success...the randomization could have gone any other way, but it didnt and so that is frustrating and to have the positions in the last race come down to a random roll of the dice can make the whole thing feel futile at times. given the situation and context, i think its warranted.

Well I really enjoyed tonight, Race 2 was epic, strated 6th and got past ck after fred tapped him out the way then got past fred and britracer in the same corner then was behind biggs for quite a few laps then finally got past him but could get past richs BMW.
Race 3 was just bad for me a minor semi roll and a major roll.
Vid of the minor semi roll.

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
As far as the room being A lobby, B lobby, C lobby, D lobby and possibly E lobby, it is what it is. I was surprized that I qualified into A lobby. Then even more surprized when I rolled it in race 1. Surprized yet again to hold on to 4th in the second race. Then disappointed from taking out Nick on lap 4 of the third race. The idea here is to enjoy the racing. If Tora thinks that it isn't fair to have the fastest guys getting the most points, and then they decide to randomize what the finishing order is by lobby, that is their choice. There are other places to race that don't do this, and you are not racing there. So Tora obviously has some merit to their methods. Really, it is about having fun. When it stops being fun, stop doing it.

not by choice.
like where? i'd gladly race in other sites active series if i knew where.

so because i have no choices to race in other organizations? that means that they are doing everything correct?
you guys are misinterpreting what i'm saying. i'm sharing my experiences. they are just as valid as Ian saying "wow great to be leading the championship" not everyone is going to be happy with the outcome of the race. just because i vocalize that disappointment in the way the cards fell dosent mean i'm saying it's organized wrongly or anything. hell, if you go back to the other rounds of the championships like the TCC and minis and TCM...i'd get benefited by it. i understand the process taketh and the process taketh away. it's just frustrating when it taketh away.

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
I'd like to congratulate the staff for the quick (although slightly late) progress of last nights meeting. to go from other meetings recently of being only 1-2 lobbies, to then be all the way to being near 4 full lobbies i feel it was handled so professionally. Even when there was a delay, both AJ and ck both kept our lobby updated with why there was a delay.
Well done guys!

It isn't that the Staff don't think it's fair that the Lobby A guys get the most points, it's more about giving the lower lobby guys a chance to score the higher points. If we were all in one big lobby it wouldn't be an issue, but if you imagine, it would be plausible that a fast person could have a bad qualifying (like I did - rolling like a fool on my out lap whilst trying to get a nice run-up for my hot lap!), and then, in a "one huge lobby" race, be able to fight their way back to the sharp end of the field, or at least into a position above first in their lobby (even 9th to 8th for example). In split lobbies this is obviously not possible, hence the third race randomisation idea.
Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
One big lobby can be done by scoring the races by total race time. Have no safety car laps. The random room thing is very unique, and I really don't understand the validity of it. Hence my comments made in jest.

Mind you, I wasn't complaining about it in any way. I was actually defending the site and the way you do things.

Yeh I understand, but I thought that it might be helpful to clarify, at least the way I see it, one of the reasons for doing it the way we do.

Re: TCC Meeting 1 Discussion Thread – Maple Valley (Full Circuit)
Okay, I have analysed the telemetry from the accident between me and Ian which occured on Lap 4 of Race 3 in the A Lobby.
Comming into Turn 2, I was on the left, Ian on the right. Ian is right on the edge of the track preparing for a switchback, so I had plenty of room. I myself was trying to prevent Ian from doing a switchback by maximising the space I had before the corner. When we touched we were BOTH turning left into the corner. However, Ian, obviously expecting me to be much closer to the inside, had begun turning left before me and hence beginning the switchback. He did almost slot in behind me but slightly tagged my rear right as we both went into the corner, pitching my car into a right hand spin, I then proceded towards the concrete retaining wall and got airbourne, landing on my side.
My conclusion: we both knew exactly the situation we were in and had both carefully planned what we were going to do on the second corner based on what we expected each other to do. Ian expected me to keep right to the inside and then drift wide on the exit, I expected Ian to concede as I knew I would go off the track if I had done what Ian expected. Even if I had stayed dead inside and braked for the corner to stop myself going off, the accident still would have occured, one of us would have had to have conceded the position for us to still be on track. Unfortunately at the time, none of us did concede, and I respect Ian for that
Anyway... photos are on their way

Wow... how did that happen? I thought Richy was offshore, as I was speaking to him on facebook after the race. That was nice of them to fly him home for a few hours so he could race, then fly him back in time to chat with me.
