Rules & Regulations
Founder Matt Hunter assembled the first ever TORA GT championship in the year 2008; 5 Championships later the prestigious MSA TORA GT Championship is back for 2011.
With the real world of sports cars ever expanding, we have expanded our car selection too, and will be holding a 5 round series at the beginning of 2011.
The series is open to three-driver teams, of which in each round the two top-scoring driver's points will go towards the team's championship. All standard TORA racing rules apply.
Each meeting will involve one session:
-Qualifying will be set over a 10 minutes total time period, where you will be allowed to complete you last lap once the 15 minutes are up before meeting in the first corner for scrutineering and time collection by the lobby host.
-Times will be taken down and confirmed by the lobby host.
-These will be uploaded to the live timing application.
-The Race will be set to a pre-determined amount of laps of which will total to approximately a 1 hour race.
-The grid will be ordered as per qualifying times.
-The grid will form up in race order on the parade lap, this will be instructed by the lobby captain and then the race will start by a rolling start, cars will stay at 100mph on the parade lap and line up side by side, once you pass the pit entrance the pole sitter can shout go at the allocated time which will be given by the race marshall, once go is issued there can be no overtaking until the start and finish line.
-You must make 1 mandatory pit stop between lap 2 and the penultimate lap of the race. You may not make your mandatory stop on the first or last lap of the race. The lobby captain must be informed by each driver when they are taking their pit-stop, and failure to pit will result in disqualification.
-The race is scored using the standard TORA points system.
-As GT racing is a non contact sport incidents which endanger you or another competitor will be referred to the head steward and appropriate action will be taken.
-Damage is set to Limited Damage
-Drivers who finish in the top two positions from the previous race will be subject to a -5% power handicap "success ballast" on top of any success ballast or power handicap they are already carrying from the previous round.
-Drivers carrying "success ballast" power handicaps who finish outside of the top two positions will have the handicap removed on the next race.

Cars must be built to the following restrictions.
Cars will be built to a PI of no more than either 655/660/670/680 Performance Index (PI) (dependant upon car model)

Re: Rules & Regulations
Hey all,
As in line with the ISCC, Qualifying rules have been updated to include the 10 minute rule.
Please remember once your 10 minutes are up to complete the lap you are on and meet in the first corner.
