The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
The Race-
-The race will be scored on "distance driven" but, the race length to time (max is 3 hrs), then combine the distances per session for each car to give the results. (4 total sessions) So you can see after each 3hr session the cumulative gaps between cars, and see any ebb and flow in the gaps. (Example- Come the 12hr mark, PLOW could have driven a total of 1203 miles, compared to Austins 1254 miles. Bigger is better.)
-This race will be running along side the real world so when the real world has a safety car we will have one. However, if we are in need of a safety car (If two or more cars come together) we will not have one as the real world cannot see what happens to us and will not be slowing down to have a safety car.
-While under the safety car we will follow the ALMS rules for pitting, that being the 1st lap under safety car Prototypes will be allowed to pit, the 2nd lap GT cars will be allowed to pit, 3rd lap on anyone can enter the pits as they want to.
- Race will start 3:30pm GMT/ 10:30am Eastern on Saturday March 19th ending at 3:30 am GMT Sunday March 20th/ 10:30pm Eastern Saturday March 19th.
Qualifying-
-There are 3 qualifying sessions (drivers must turn up for 1 ONLY!!!) Wednesday at 8pm GMT/ 3pm Eastern 16th of March, Thursday at 8pm GMT/ 3pm Eastern 17th of March or Friday at 8pm GMT/ 3pm Eastern 18th of March.
-All drivers from each team may qualify the car. However, the best time turned by the driver in each team will be used to set the grid. (Example- Driver 1 sets a time of 1:48.745 and Driver 2 sets a time of 1:49.763, Driver 1’s time will be used to set the grid.)
Driver/ Team Rules-
-No driver can do more than a total of 9 hours however, no more than 6 hours at a time. (a double stint)
-We encourage ISCC teams to enter the cars they will be racing in. However, you are allowed to run what you would like.
-Teams must consist of a minimum of 2 drivers and a maximum of 3 drivers per car, with a maximum of 3 cars per team and all cars in each team MUST BE THE SAME. Each car for each team may have different driver counts (Example- Car 1 may have 3 drivers, car 2 may have 2 drivers.)

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
You only need to do 3hrs Nick, the other drivers in your team can cover the other stints.
I'm so in for this. Last years 24hrs of Le Mans was amazing.

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
To anyone looking for additional drivers, I strongly recommend looking at the list of privateers registered in the ISCC, as they will probably be looking either for a seat, or additional drivers themselves.

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
you're racing the real world cars on the same track against the real world cars! so not only will you be scored by the online competitiors but by the real world racers as well... does that help Neo?

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
Hmmm, I'll think about it, it's on a Saturday afternoon which shouldnt be a problem, which even still, I wouldnt have to start til half 6 if I'm not in, one potential problem could be the internet at my nans, which could be sorted the week before... At the moment, it's a maybe.

I'll be giving this a miss, not sure about Worm or Bobcat though. I just generally don't want to be playing Forza for that long. Took me less than 10 laps of Silverstone International earlier and turnt it off due to boredom.

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
The teaming up idea isn't a bad one, but when i done the 2.4 hours of Le Mans last year i wanted to kill myself i was that bored and i dont think i could cope with 3 hours

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
Is this just a typing error or will there be 2 sessions that day? Because I won't be able to make it to any of these qualifying sessions unless one is moved later in the day or there is a session on a weekend.AudiSport Louis wrote:

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
Hey Conner. You're probably not the only one in that boat. If we can organise a US-friendly qualifying session with someone like Louis hosting, I'd be fine with that.
Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
pending on the time i can host one on wednesday but very early Thursday morning I will be leaving to go down to Sebring

Re: The Rules for the 12 Hours of Sebring
I could do one this coming weekend. Saturday 12th @ 10pm or Sunday 13th @ 8pm GMT (5pm and 3pm Eastern respectively) if that helps anyone?
As Louis said, it's also not completely the end of the world if you can't make it to qualifying, as long as one of your drivers can; then their time will be recorded for the car (remember it's the fastest driver's time which determines your grid slot).
