Indycar midfielder goes to NASCAR. Thats pretty much what happened.

She is still the most marketable driver in the IRL. It'd be like if Ferrari left F1 for NASCAR.

Marketable why?

Front Running driver?
Consistently winning races?
Championships?

And Ferrari departing F1 for NASCAR would eclipse the most obvious thing danica can do.

Because she is a mildly attractive young woman driver who is willing to play up that fact.

How many IRL drivers do you think non motorsport fans can name other than Danica? I'm not disputing that there are much better drivers than her, but she is hands down the most well known. For a series that is struggling like IRL is, they need all of the star power they can get.

And yes, Ferrari bailing on F1 would be significantly bigger, but its the same idea. The biggest name in the sport leaving the sport is not a good thing for said sport.

With Midweek Motorsport doing a bit on how much money NASCAR drivers make on exposure alone, it is kinda bad for her to leave Indycar.

We also saw two individuals being flipped. The first was Tony Kannan who made contact with the infield tyres. The second was Mr Barnhardt, who was just being an ass.

We THEN saw another wankerific moment when the Indycar's super spectacular double file restarts took out the one man who deserved to win, the till then, dominant Dario Franchitti.

On the flip side, todays MoveThatBlock Indy 225 gave me an excellent new avatar! YAY!

well as far as im aware Powers had contact and is two laps now, maybe even out the race after just 12 of 200 laps! Franchitti looks to have a 3rd straight title!

Wheldons car was covered up while they were working on getting him doesnt sound good.

Few cars got off and went on fire

Dario Franchitti is the 2011 champion but im sure he didnt want to win it this way

Will Power has been released from hospital, Pippa Mann and JR Hildebrand are awake and are being held overnight. That's really good news. This disaster could have easily taken other lives as well as Dan's.
