Re: The Film Thread
I watched Oblivion today. The spacey one with Tom Cruise. Absolutely amazing... Looks good too. Brilliant plot, but seems achingly similar to a couple of other sci-fi films of past times (I shan't tell as it'll spoil it all )

Re: The Film Thread
Nothing to do with The Elder Scrolls Apparently it is based on a comic book, or "graphic novel"
Re: The Film Thread
Pity, an ES movie would be amazing
I'm in my Marvel kick just now ready for Iron Man 3, and watched The Incredible Hulk for the first time last night. Was alright, at least it gave a bit of background to Hulk for Avengers. It was made all the better by Robert Downey Jr's brief appearance at the end though

Re: The Film Thread
I was thinking more along the lines of all those those "saving the earth from alien death" games.

Re: The Film Thread
Seriously looking forward to it now! And it's out on the week before my birthday...good times.
Re: The Film Thread
Some good films coming out soon(ish)
Apparently SotD and Hot Fuzz were in a trilogy... And this is the third (and final )
This one sort of looks like a dramatised Apollo 13

Re: The Film Thread
Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were part of a loose ''Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy''. Can't wait for The World's End!
Gravity looks eh... Well... It'l be interesting to see how many times the laws of Physics are broken. Apollo 13 was a true story, and pretty damn true to the hard facts and physics. That looks like that scene out of Modern Warfare 2. From that trailer alone, that's definitely a film I'll take a pass on!
The last properly good space movie was Moon.

Re: The Film Thread
Can I just reccomend an old film.
Sneakers.
If you ignore the haircuts, and the age of the computers, and the accent of Ben Kingsley, it is a film that could work today.

- Spoiler:
- Apparently not, read a few theories and either Fury lied to the Avengers to give them the push, or he was a copy of Coulson. Not really up to speed on my Marvel lore.
