Re: 2012 American Le Mans Series
^ Same driver has caused major wrecks in T1 of the past two races. Me thinks it may be time for the officials to request to the Dyson team that he is not to start anymore races for a while. If he is the second or third driver, I'd think that may be fine as he wouldn't be in the car in turn 1 on lap 1, just don't let him in the car to start the race.

By that logic than the Audi R18 and Toyota TS030 are hazards too right? Because they too had big crashes when GT cars have hit them. All I saw there was a 2500 lb Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car lose control after accelerating over the curbs and hit an ~1100 lb Nissan Deltawing, and the Deltawing lost. Seemed to me that the Deltawing's extra rigidity worked against it there. If I read correctly the car suffered no tub damage and should be out tomorrow.

Exactly. Most other cars the situation would've been the same at that point in the track. The fact this could be classed as its first "biggie" crash, and the driver was completely fine says to me that the car is safer than I originally thought.

Simon, English?
still had the Porsche hit any other prototype, they both would have just crashed...no flips. That is the profuct of having a car that is essentially a tricycle

A few stupid mistakes in the pits towards the end of the race, BMW and one of the P2's (I think) lost 1 st place because of them

Re: 2012 American Le Mans Series
LOL.
I am a great fan of the Lizards but they belong in GTE. Corvettes will now truly win...all the time.
However GT2 spec is dying out like GT1 did because GT3's is a more competitive and more viable class to enter Money wise.
So I would like to see them at Spa 24hrs? Blancpain series maybe? or N24?
My guess is there moving to GTC because of the grand AM specs for GT class so tehy wiilll get a extra year develpment with the Porka's.
