Re: TORA GT S9 - General Discussion
I like the idea of pitstops, but because the tyres just don't wear properly it never made any difference if we pitted or not. I think 95% of the time people went into the pits and then regained the exact same place back when their competitor pitted.

Yeah what Turn10 need to do is make the tyre wear relative to the race distance, like Codemasters do in the F1 game, where if the race was only 20% distance, the tyres wear five times as fast.

Re: TORA GT S9 - General Discussion
I just have 1 question and it's a big ask, ok, seeing im 9 hrs ahead of GMT, the gt races start at 5 am Monday morning, before school for me, so I wouldn't be able to race, and when GMT loses daylight saving, it'll b 6 am, so I was wondering, instead of having it at 8pm GMT Sunday, could we run it 24 hrs earlier and have it 8pm GMT Saturday, that way it would suit me because it's still weekend and hopefully doesn't affect anyone else seeing its still only Saturday night. I know it's a big ask, but I really want to participate and if it gets changed I might be able to, cheers
Re: TORA GT S9 - General Discussion
The thing about pitstops is that it DID add to the racing. A example of this was at tsukuba were Dan and Standaman pitted a lap apart and came out fighting each other, i stayed out longer and made tons of time and when i pitted, came out between them. I would of liked them to stay.

Re: TORA GT S9 - General Discussion
The pitstop situation is a done decision and sundays is a solid slot for TORA sportscar racing.

I can remember only once where the pit strategy actually came into play for me.
Laguna Seca, cant remember which season, but there were a few people ahead of me battling, I got my pit stop out of the way early, did some fast laps and managed to pass 2-3 people because they were fighting for positions among themselves...
but that's the ONLY time i can remember it happening.

I call bull**** to that one. I used pit stops twice to try to help me cut through traffic--once at Road America and once at Tsukuba. The Tsukuba one backfired, but the Road America one helped move me through a clot that I would have otherwise been stuck behind.

Re: TORA GT S9 - General Discussion
Its going to be the IRL layout, because it worked so well for GT racing, seriously.
On a different subject, Is it stupid that I'm sensing some kind of buzz today, with Simon posting the locked Entry thread, and even though the championship is not on par with it, today feels very much like an NFL Draft day.

Re: TORA GT S9 - General Discussion
Same, I had a good win at footy today over a dirty as team, so that's put me in a good mood, and I've been bouncing around all day I dunno y, I'm keen for this ISCC and I'm back playing again next week from a 12 month injuryBG Beanz wrote:ADx Garage wrote:On a different subject, Is it stupid that I'm sensing some kind of buzz today

Re: TORA GT S9 - General Discussion
That would explain a lot, cos I was 9 or 10 seconds behind CMGraphix's times, so that would explain y I was racing the full oneADx Garage wrote:Its going to be the IRL layout, because it worked so well for GT racing, seriously.
