Re: TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans - General Discussion
187 is quick as! my 458 hits 181 at forza cicaine, with legitimently no aero, great tune i must say thanks to Duke, but 187, WHAT!BG Hainesy wrote:187 is good Dav, that's exactly the same we are getting in the BMW and about 5mph slower than the Audi. I'll give it a blast around though.Dav of Krypton wrote:Wow I missed a lot this week with work . I am finding the jag to be considerable slower than the rest but I'm not as quick as the fast guys. I am looking for someone if possible to try the car and tune just to confirm to me that it its just my pace. I didn't think I would be over 4 - 5.seconds slower on my fastest lap than some others.
I am aware it doesn't have the straight line speed as some of the other gt cars but I can get it to 187 on the first straight before the anchors hit ground.
Can anyone run this for me just for a replay. I am never around enough at the minute for rest runs with you guys thurs week due to work like I said. But I am of for the weekend so I could run a few sessions if anyone willing.
I am banging my head at the wall And so is scuderia as we Just can't get the speed.
Re: TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans - General Discussion
just keep tweeking, my audi is hitting 191 just as i hit the braking point.
Re: TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans - General Discussion
Also, it reeeeally helps if you get a good drive out of Tertre Rouge!
Re: TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans - General Discussion
:O I dunno how were gonna b able to do that, 6th almost revs out, very little aero on back and even less on front, would changing the diff help? I'm no good with tunning
And what's a good speed and gear to take Tetre Rouge

Re: TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans - General Discussion
187 is good. In my testing, only the Audi and Dodge are several mph faster. My team's GT usually hits 186, but an absolutely perfect corner exit will bring a rare 187.

Hmmmm, that was a good talking point then . I guess it isn't the top end then. Yes it is on the Mulsanne staight at 187 mph .
I did a complete reset of the tune the other day and adjusted the tyre pressure down and ran from there. Still can only manage in the 4.06. Just need to know where I am going wrong. The exits from corners are a must get right everytime on la sarthe which I may add may be the difference with winning and losing.
Mr bainsey could you add me on XBL and I will gift the car and tune over if you need it. I would be really grateful.

GRT 458Italia wrote:how many laps should the GT cars do in the whole race? becuase i have done some maths (even though im on holidays now ) and i got a huge number! average lap time was 4 minutes 7 seconds and no matter which way i do it (distance, time, laps) i always seem to get 348 laps, am i correct or losing it?
note: i went 4 min by 60 (to get to seconds) then add seconds (eg. my best was 4 min 6 sec, so thats 4x60=240+6 sec =246 sec) and i then did that for all 4 times, averaged them and then got the 24 hours times that by 60 to get to minutes, then by 60 again to get seconds (being 86400) and the grabbed that and divided it by the average lap time (247 sec) and always get 348 give or take, i know we wont b racing the full 24 hrs (collecting times and setting grids at start and finish) but i dunno if i should be getting that high, cheers guys
The race winning GT team had 346 laps last year, you can find the results in the 24 hour general discussion from the 2011 archives, not sure why the results didn't get their own thread though.

Must say a big thanks to Hainsey for helping with the tune. I managed a DIRTY 1.04.9. I will adjust for my style and will knock some more off that..
Cheers pal.

Well the thing here was in TORA, the AMRs weren't being "2 seconds faster." It was .01 faster to CQR Magictap in a 02a. Matter of fact that was one driver in one car, to another driver in another car. The rest of were running competitive times. As for me, i don't agree with it and we ain't changing cars. i predict an AMR to be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

If anyone is on tomorrow, would you mind helping me with my tune and line? Can't seem to break out of the rare 4:05 and average 4:06.

Lol, nearly went for the Jag myself in GT's, managed the fastest time of all the cars around Silverstone in it when comparing base tunes from all the cars.

Just be glad this happened a week before qualifying and not after qualifying had already taken place. Myself and VVV Micko recieved handicapps after we had run qualifying. I lagged out on lap 1 of the Le Mans 2.4 hour race last year, and Micko lost a lot of time after the handicapp and couldn't keep pace throughout the race.

i agree, but we really wouldn't know until qualifying. i mean it sucks that this came soo close to the race and qualifying. I hope that for us guys driving it that were competitive before aren't completely off the pace with it now. But we will see, its now time to put up or shut up lol
