Dan would you say i was crazy if i said that the slower cars will probably do better than they look on paper? I think even if people are running 21s they wont be able to do too many laps and there will be times where they will be stuck in traffic in the porsche curves, the dunlop bridge and tertre rouge... its gonna be interesting

Not at all mate. I wouldn't say you were mad. In races like this, it's about consistancy. But I have no idea how many of the faster guys would be consistant in longer races like this.

Well ive ran 3 1:45:00 stints this week at different times of day and I on average slip off Indianapolis once a stint...so something i need to work on but im guessing im not the only one

Top speed isn't everything, our BMW M3 GT2 is doing 183/4mph max down the straight, whereas the Audi R8 LMS is doing 193/4mph, that's a whole 10mph difference, yet, in our testing, the M3 was still quicker...

yea Porsche curves are far to overlooked you may make up 2-3 seconds through the complex up to the ford chicane

Not sure about that, I've only done a few laps in the new tune for the Audi (2.4hr one was slow) and managed a 4.00.2 tongue

I've only done a fewww laps in the BMW, and i've done a much, much faster lap, at 4:00.1! Razz

Just watched a little bit of qualy and looked pretty good. Always nice to have commentary as well. Only gripe was that it was kinda hard to actually read the times and/or names. I'm sure you guys already know that though. study

I've not seen it discussed anywhere on the site, but what happens in the event of a disconnect, if you are dumped into your own lobby and still running, can you finish and take a photo of the result, or is your stint done?

your stint is done. the next driver (or you) will be able to start the next stint.

If you drop out of the race lobby its classed as a mechanical failure, and your total distance up to that point will be taken for the stint. It is something that can occur as it happened twice (I believe) during the Sebring 12 hours. Its happened to me before and know how frustrating it can be, but theres nothing that can be done about it.

The reason why its done like this, is the person sitting in their own lobby will not have the challenge or racing and lapping other cars, giving it an advantage.

Hey guys, I just wanted to make sure I have this correct before the race starts, sorry if it has already been answered but not really up to reading at the moment, so my question: at the end of each stint, after 1 hr 50 minutes do we finish our lap or stop where we r and record our time? Just wanted to make sure.
Oh one more thing, do u do warm up lap at start of each stone or how does it work? Cheers
