Real Races

I am very intersted in going to a few rounds of the BTCC next season and I also want to go to a BGT event as well. We all talked about this on the old forums so I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on it.

How about we sort out a race that we can all attend? It would be great to actually get to meet everyone lol!

Me and Ian are probably going to knockhill for the BTCC since its rather close to where I stay and its provides some of the best BTCC racing on the clander, but I would also love to go to Croft, since I think its a great circuit.

I also want to go to a BGT round, but on a big track. I was thinking about silverstone, depending on dates, but I know quite a few of you go to the BritCar there so maybe we could go somewhere else for it?

Just an idea...

I'll be going to Rally Scotland next year as it is on next years IRC calendar

that would be great to go to, when is it?

Donnington may attend also silerstone as both only hour drive for me.

Its the season finale in November, would expact it to be before Wales Rally GB. Rally Scotland will include some of the former RAC rally stages in the Stirling/Perth area so it should be great watching the Peugeots, Skodas, Abarths and Evos sliding throught the forrests

Well, Garyp3398 and I will be at Knockhill in 2009, definitely for the BTCC and probably for the BGT and Time Attack if they return.

More than happy to meet up with you guys there.

Things I'm defo going to in 2009:

FIA GT (Silverstone)
BTCC ( Silverstone- date of Thruxton round means its too close to the GT's)
BGT (Thruxton)
Britcar (October Silverstone)
BSB( Thruxton)

i might go 2 knockhill but its lyk a 4 hour drive lol could pick up nicky along the way

i would love to get to go to some of these races and have a good meeting like a karting session between everyone who shows up from the bgta. im up for any session but i will leave it up to you guys to decide where.
1, Pick a good site that will have good racing but good access to most people too
2, Pick it well in advance so that those of us that have permanent jobs can book time of.

oooh, you gotta love a bit of commercial karting, 11 year olds trying to bump you off into the pit wall while their dad eggs them on, black flags simply because your driving style was too quick, shortening the track and taking out a ballsy corner simply to put a laser tag center in... amazing..

well i have to say im in the older legion of the karters here being 25 but i probably have caused nearly as much havoc as the guys who do it all the time. the best one was when i was about 8 or 10 went karting with a mate before they had the all round bumper. put my front wheel in front of his back wheel and braked he jumped ended up with over half the cart perched on the tyre barrier and he got black flagged

Well, seeming as it will be my 18th, Im sure I would be able to cause some interesting things to happen lol!

We may turn it into a bumper kart session near the end lol!

I just have vsions of me and my mates smuggling in a bottle of vodka in each, and driving around drinking with the stewards chasing us lol! Cant wait

Well, I live down near Windsor. Wraysbury to be exact (between datchet and Staines). If anyone wants in, send me a message. It will be on Saturday 21st February. We will go karting in the morning, then go down the pub later on.
