I agree with Mike. I don't think Perez has what it takes. I wouldn't like to see him drop out of Formula 1 altogether though.

Perez came across as very bullish after being told to buck up by Whitmarsh after China. Anyway, this is going to descend into a battle of favourite drivers. I have huge doubts about Sergey Sirotkin, at least the other pay drivers did well in something before leaping into F1, but Sirotkin...Well we'll see how it pans out next year.

Yeah I agree lol...

And yeah, there are still rumors that Sirotkin may not race after all! Sauber apparently been considering Petrov instead (Much better Russian driver)

Mclaren must seriously think Magnussen is super quick if they are considering him for the drive with all the new regulations coming into place. I like to see drivers come through their respective driver programme and personally I would love to see Magnussen in the car as I've been hearing plenty of good things about him.

Alan Prost suggested wider tyres and the return of flat floors, this would also reduce costs as teams are pouring huge amounts of money into excessive aero development.

I like Heikki just fine, but would rather see what Valsecchi or D'Ambrosio would do in decent equipment.

IMO, Kovalainen had his shot in F1, didn't produce, got shuffled down the deck, then out of the sport. D'Ambrosio had a shot... at Marussia or someother field filler team, not exactly on par with Lotus, even though he did well in GP2.

I always rated Heikki as a top driver. I'm glad he's jumping back into a decent team, albeit for 2 races. Feel a bit sorry for Perez, he didn't have a decent car, I hope he stays in F1 somewhere. I think we're definitely getting to a point where we have too many pay drivers. Talents like Kovalainen & Alguesuari being forced out of the sport is such a shame, like Sirotkin is going to be anything special.
