Re: TEC 2013 - Pre-season Discussion
To those who were expecting an announcement over the weekend we have had to delay things slightly because of an issue with the first race car list. We are trying to resolve it soon, so hopefully the details will be released next weekend

...Or you could just release it on a standard day of the week...
Just saying, I could take the list on a Monday or Tuesday

Re: TEC 2013 - Pre-season Discussion
I think soundwave mean that the carlist will be dropped by you guys and 2 or 3 days later you have to register.
Can TORA give us at least 1 week for testing the several cars before register will be opened?

Re: TEC 2013 - Pre-season Discussion
That's what Duncan has said,
1) Car list won't be released until its 100% ready
2) Car list finished and released
3) Have a few weeks to test the cars
4) Registrations open

Hoping to kill my Forza bank and enter one car in every class in every race.

I've been doing that and more for about 3/4 a year now, get in line!
But hopefully the loss of the XPRs doesn't kill off my army. That was a whole car's worth of people that defected. Oh well, from the ashes and all that!

Re: TEC 2013 - Pre-season Discussion
I don't know if this is the place to say it, but I'm new to TORA and I wanted to run in TEC, but I was wondering how does registration and forming teams work?

You wait.
Not to be too blunt, but that's how it is right now. Get yourself worked up by watching some clips of the past TECs, maybe take a look at the Spotter's Guides, and get yourself ready for the first race! Specific details will be released shortly, including when/how registration is!

Not everyone has the Porsche Pack though, effectively making it a one way choice for lots of people who could be involved.

Too true, but that is the only pair of true Spec classes in any professional endurance series.
I love Spec sprint race mini series, but when it comes to realistic endurance races, I don't see it as such a great option.
Re: TEC 2013 - Pre-season Discussion
Sebring rules read "When 2 hours is reached all drivers will stop where they are on track and give their covered distance to the Lobby Host."
So does stop on track apply to the last stint as well? No race to finish line and getting the time? How are results determined then if overall distance is equal?
Also what about a more precise distance measuring? Suggestion was made in the Nurb8 thread. It's annoying when being just a few hundred feets from other car (or even less) but separate by one mile for the stint distance.

There was also a suggestion to switch to KM in stead of Mph.
