TORA MSA World GT Championship Round 3:
Suzuka - Japan
After the mixed fortunes in Spain, the V-AMR teams took to the twists and turns of Suzuka with renewed vigour and a genuine shot a victory.
Prior to the race the news came that Cyber Racing would be renamed PGF-Kinfaun AMR to mirror the real world British GT entry. As the team commenced testing it was clear this would be a strong race.
The bullish attitude was well judged with the #3 car taking 3rd on the grid by 0.07s. A closely fought battle
with the defending champion, Robin Betka's TPR Ferrari and the One Nation Racing BMWs saw Grain pick up a very strong
pair of thirds. Christian Rose also enjoyed a strong weekend with two fourth place finishes, building on his sixth place grid slot after first qualifying. With Siddall also enjoying a renewed run of performance in 18th this was PGF-Kinfaun's best weekend
so far and allowed the squad to leapfrog Total Performance Racing into the lead of the World Championship.
At Beechdean AMR, it was Wilson in the #4 leading the way once again with an outstanding 17th place and pushing the Reiter
Lamborghinis hard to the finish. Chris Ford also enjoyed a strong weekend with 35th as his final combined position an improvment on his Spanish outing. Battles with the CRA Mercedes and Team Schubert BMW of Duncan Ray would be a highlight.
Ian Maughan continued to learn with the team and a late set up change seemed to help the Midlander discover additional pace in the car.
Matt Hunter finally managed to get more than a single lap out of his DBR9 and enjoyed race long battles with the
Von Ryan McLaren of James Hall and the #152 X Continental Jaguar. A mesmersizing pass on Hall around the outside of
the infamous 130R was a highlght for the Devonian who successfully defended his position later in the race despite
significant aero damage following a collision with the Hankook Evora.
This weekend boosted morale in the team and with both squads now in the top ten of the Team's Championship and with Grain now sitting in second place behind the defending champion.
Next up is the endurance event at Motegi on Feb 10th. Hopes are high for another excellent race for V-AMR and testing begins almost immediately. Here's to another weekend chasing that win.

Was so gutted to miss Lobby A but the racing in Lobby B felt like A. Keeping up with Magic, Haburi & Koenigsegg in race 1 was a shock to the system! Took it easy in race 2, almost passed Koenigsegg at the start but got boxed behind Haburi.
Well done to Daniel and Shifty keep it up lads! Also great job by Chris getting in Lobby B and then push me hard with the little testing he had, nice one.
Lets keep this Aston right up there!
