Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
Thanks for the race and hosting guys! I'm happy I was able to finish my second stint at least after lagging out the first one.
Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
an unsuccessful title defense for me and biggsy but we never gave up, the team pushed hard even though we were down. Very proud of my team and I really look forward to LeMans

That's what it's all about Gillard. Never giving up. Saddens me when someone leaves from getting their race ruined. Though understandable.

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
I wanted to drop by and give a big THANKS to those of you responsible for organizing theses races, i honestly cant even imagine what it takes.
One of my teammates had a bad experience, but we think that was due to an amazingly immature jackass finding his way onto the signup sheet. Guy was doing donuts @ one point, he reentered the track as you might expect at anoter time. Altogether, my teammate ended the race with an extra THREE pitstops because of this ass.
Big props to Gnashty Nate for hanging in there and finishing his stint for the team, duno if i could've after all that...
Add to that bit of poor luck, I missed the second stint due to a small family emergency.
Even with enough justification to really be furious, i just couldn't help but have a great time.
The last stint got a bit boring, as many teams had dropped out, only 6 of us remained in D lobby. I started to push my endurance limit, after running two in a row my hands are killing me. There's definitely no way i could've ran a third in a row.
Here's to NOT looking forward to Le Mans! Ugh, i hate that track.
Again, big thanks and great job, from "The GiMpKicKiN' GnaShtyVaTors"

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
Had a good time today. Furious with my first stint after I made contact TWICE with Tango Wh1skey and lagging out within the first 10 minutes. Second stint was much more successful. No damage at all and kept second just about the entire time. Only time I made slight contact was when I made a stupid move going around the left side of Turn 17 around one of the BMWs.

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
Gutted that my 3rd driver never got going, pushed about as hard as I could to make up lost time, but I guess we will see how we finished once the dust settles.
Overall I was very happy with the racing, Lobby D was excellent for me, P1 were careful in passing, and lapped GTE cars made the effort to move out of the way, which was especially appreciated given that a couple of us were having a hard fought battle ourselves.
Couple of quick thanks, before everyone else wakes up.
Standaman, for sorting the team out whilst Ive been snowed under at work, SRT Warspite GB for coming up with a last minute tune, that turned the Ford from a pig into a absolute monster of a car. XXX Skyrocket for sticking with us.
A special thanks goes to FormulaForza.com's BMW drivers, Wennaj and JamesHall94, for providing some of the toughest, but cleanest racing I have been involved in. I was gutted James's pit crew failed him in my first session, leading to him making 2 pit stops, after we had fought for an hour.
Then Wennaj made one mistake in the last 15 minutes, which let me through after a long, long session, to which i spent the last 5 laps under about as much pressure as I ever felt, finished ahead by about 20 meters
Absolutely outstanding.
Thanks TORA.
Roll on the next one.

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
Huge thanks to every 1 that took part and huge thank to community running lower lobbies with 0 staff.
Huge thanks to Chris (CQR Aero), Richy, Mark, Stan, Ian, Matt & Simon and of course our 1 and only Adrian
Lobby B was a blast for my stint really good lobby to be in People had fun which is key
Hope you all had fun although what today showed was impatient driving will ruin yours and every one else race.
Also for Le Mans those that had some issues with non staffed lobbies we will be willing to have you run a lobby just put your name forward, the community had willing hosts to put up with the stress of hosting a lobbies for 12 hours of which Chris will tell you at times is a bit stressful so once more huge thanks to lower lobbies hosts.

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
I think the organisers did it great, there is some discussion about feet distance ( I think it is better than the mileage) and tsafoot made some suggestions about it to make it even better.
There are some ( minor) things I wanted to say about lobby hosts. I had Aero and we had to start in qualifying order in stint 4. Position 6
Stint 5 franchitti made the race order for stint 3, I was now position 4. Also we had to explain to franchitti about feet system and the lobby settings were wrong.
I heard that tsafoot in stint 3 had to start behind the GT's....
In the end I am glad that there are race hosts ( I am still doubting of voluteering, because it is a great responsibility), but I think the communication should be a bit better.

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
This event was just superbly organised. No need to worry about over running by an hour or two. That's just normal because we cannot control the connection issues we've been having over the 12 hour event.
Huge thanks goes out to everyone in TORA who's organised this event, run our lobbies, provided us with the live streaming for each lobby and of course, the commentators who have entertained us whilst watching the event. Fantastic job everyone!
This event was absolutely brilliant for the #007 Virtual_AMR car. Myself, Ian, Matt & Chris ran faultlessly and we didn't run into any trouble what so ever. So regardless of our result, it's been a superb effort by everyone and I'm proud of the team. There was a few scary moments with traffic, but as I said in the race lobbies, I haven't raced for nearly four months and I was too cautious. But hey, I've thoroughly enjoyed my racing return.
Many thanks to everyone who I raced with in both stints. The traffic was really good and had a little banter with LMR Deftone. I say I lost time due to traffic (which I did), but I couldn't keep up with you mate no matter how hard I tried. The car just wasn't up for the fight! lol
I wish I could be so positive about our #004 Virtual_AMR car. Really, they've had rotten luck from start to finish through no fault of their own. But a valiant effort from D4NI3L, Shifty, Chad & Chris. I wish the event had gone better for you lads.
I would like to congratulate everyone for taking part in this event. It's certainly been the most enjoyable endurance race that I've taken part in and I'm sad it's all over. But hey, roll on June! The next race I'll be participating in is the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Thanks everyone, take it easy and I shall speak to you all real soon! Oh, and I shall see some of you at Silverstone at the WEC

Does 'But hey, I've thoroughly enjoyed my racing return' mean you're back and racing again?

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
Good job and a hats off to everyone For me, it wasn't the greatest of all races... but that doesn't make it not good. I think there was some confusion and a driver in the GTE team said he'd never return to TORA again after waiting so long for invites. I think he was a bit out of the loop and didn't realise there were some expected delays. Oh well, that's his opinion and I respect that...
Now, when can we see some final results

Re: Sebring 12 Hours Race Day Thread
So nervous to see the results.
Firstly thank you Darthmario for letting me race with such a blinding group of guys in such a huge race. you did amazing gaining so much milage back.
And well done nick and warspite for bringing it home in every stint.
Thanks Tora and ALL the helpers all day and night and right through the buildup.
I had amazing fun and the streams and commentary elevate the events to another level.
Lastly thank you lobby A stint 4. Not popular with the head steward but an awesomely fun stint.
For my first ever TEC race and in the big lobby i was quite nervous. Took one tap from a lapping p1 car early on but never let the rear and side damage dishearten me. took its toll in the fast corners though but i did my stint with no other offs and traffic was nice and clean getting by the gaps i left them.
Cannot wait for le mans and will promise here and now a much better pace from me now the bogey track is done.
Thanks for all the requests by the guys to see me too. Feel honoured to have so much support and wish i could have did more than 5th to 8th in my stint.
Now to see where we came
