MSA TORA TCC Season 8 - General Discussion

Just wanted to say massive respect to the TG team for going with the unloved Volvo S60 - a car that was written off as being uncompetitive and too slow recently! Two wins in A lobby goes to show that there's a whole load of competitive cars just waiting to be driven The mid-season car change window could be interesting, I hope Volvo have plenty of S60's in stock  

some really great racing in B lobby last night. Really set a high standard. 3 wide at some points and not 1 scratch. Nice one guys.

managed to miss out on A lobby by .002 of a second to CQR Jono. gutted. But had a fantastic race 1 with S2M Ranger. Bumper to bumper until I locked up and handed 1st to him. Until ranger had the mis-fortune of lagging out. Gutted for ya man.

2nd race, Dan managed to bulid a gap at tyhe front. I was catching but ran out of laps.

Race 3, I'd rather not talk about it(hey Dan)

lol, I had to laugh, always seems to be you. and by 2 thousands. arrrghhhh only kidding mate, times were so so close last night. I had great racing in B lobby anyway so not too fussed.

Well I mean, the S60 is the best car afterall. Just like the Kia and S2000 in other series..

I thought it was the Lexus? Or the BMW? or the Megane? or the Honda?  All these best cars, it confuses me!

Nah, clearly the Volvo C30 is the bestest best car.

Our lil Meganes are all a little battered and bruised this morning.
We worked hard on em as a team and I think we all love em now.

Wasn't as easy as we thought to tune right though. CQR etc made it look easy last season!!

Keep working at the tune, there's always more time to find! We've found around 0.2s in the Megane since the end of last season. The Civic and Leon need more work yet, but not a bad showing for their first appearance, definitely more to come from them as the season goes on.

Someone stole the engine in my Seat for the straights!

I did a lot of work on it initially as I really wanted to pick it and make it competitive, but one day me and worm just blitz it. I wasn't to pleased with it in qually/race one, I decided to go with a different build and just didn't work. The car was feeling good in race two though when I decided to go back to another build, unfortunately I got wiped out in race three and then champions car lagged into me sending me off the track. So my night was a little frustrating, but I'm glad Hayden got the most out of the Volvo.

As for catalunya, this will be a track to definitely test the Volvo, I will be extremely pleased if we can get it on pace around a track like this

Indeed. Sorry about that dude. I must admit it was a bit of a Jason Plato'esque move. I didn't do it deliberately as I was watching iteknix behind me and forgot that Copse Corner was fast approaching!

But B lobby was awesome fun last night, especially with yourself mate and PLOW Tubbi in the third race. I don't think my first event for M&M couldn't have gone any better. Roll on Catalunya  

It's rediculously close last night in qualifying as I think the first 27 cars were covered by half a second which is awesome credit on TORA's part for making the cars more or less evenly matched.

I had a great night in the Nankang UK Megane. Car did exactly as expected in qualifying (one of only 2 laps EVER under the 1:02 barrier) and then was a beast of a race car! completely underneath me and very racey and strong for most of the race.

A lil rustiness in Race 1 saw me loose a place and bad luck and a bad mistake saw me finish a little lower in race 3 than I could have but all in all a strong return to touring cars I think!

I just hope the Stewards are feeling kind after my 2 "Nominations"....

Nightmare 1st experience over here with you guys!!

Qually went wrong at the worst moment possible! Went wide at Copse on warm up lap meaning dirtied lap, which was no biggy as I had the 4 out laps to do. Then on my first flying lap I was lagged out into a lobby all alone when I made it to Luffield! So found myself in lobby H. Nice bunch of guys there and thank you to all who raced, looked like you all had good scraps and seemed well behaved.

Was in the late mid 1:00's so could of had some great battles higher up...oh well...that's racing...See ya at Catalunya

Where do i complain about the date for catalunya? Who in gods name put it on the 17th? dammit man GTA V is released on that bloody day! debating whether or not to use a drop round now
