Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
1:20.9 with sunset tune with no aero most likely could get mid to low 20s

20.3 now with adjustments to my sunset tune moving in the right direction I feel there's more time still wasn't really going for it either in the Jag.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Just ran 10 laps in the Aston and managed 1.20.238 with what I believe was a Silverstone tune, I practically went over the line sideways.
Defnitely a 1.19.xxx to be had with some tuning, especially the ride height with the way you almost have to hop between kerbs in sector one.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
So as this is a no bs site I am wondering how vigilant stewards will be with the "grass braking" I'm seeing in a lot of driver's ghosts 19.6 grass brake 20. 985 not cheating
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Im sure that grass breaking will result in penaltys

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
If you're dropping 2 wheels in the braking zone to gain an advantage, it won't go unnoticed. This is the most popular track for grass braking, so we'll see what happens.

Unfortuantly a large number of drivers do it, however I've never seen a driver penalised for it.
From my experience, if its a clean lap then TORA allows it. Furthermore, as far as I know, TORA's policy is at least 2 wheels must be on the track at all times. "Grass braking" keeps 2 wheels on the track, meaning under TORA's rules, its difficult for the stewards to reprimand drivers.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
for sure there needs to be an explanation as to what is to be expected
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
As of 2014, TORA Rules and Regulations state that you may not use the environment surrounding the track gain an advantage on the track. IE - no using the grass to slow the car down. Being caught intentionally doing so repeatedly will result in penalty.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
No explanation was needed. All drivers are expected to know the rules and regulations of both the series in which they participate and of TORA itself, and the Sporting Regulations clearly state:
As for lap times, I tried the Ford GT again and got a 1:18.625. I'm running the Jaguar and got a 1:19.291 so far in that. I'll send the tune to you Bandit, and IBlueIJaBBRexI if you need tweaks and you can't figure it out just tell me what you think needs to be changed.
2013/2014 Sporting Regulations wrote:7.5.20 Using the virtual environment to gain an advantage whether through exploitation, track design (dirt breaking), aggressive behaviour, or gamertags swaps will result in DQ from the meeting and the incident been passed over to the TORA steward team

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
transparency is not our enemy.
I brang this up because during the TEC at Silver stone I watched many replays and 25%of driver's in a lobby all did it... Intact that's where I learned it was an advantage...
Fast forward to now figured I would get ahead of the 8 ball and bring this up as Deftone stated it is more prevalent here at Road Atlanta... I brought this up earlier in the season with no response... I know it directly effects "aliens" and I am truly sorry for blowing up grass breakers spot just think we should be on a level playing field thanks again guy's

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Personally I find that grass braking results in an unscheduled trip into the nearest barrier so I'm gonna stick to the grey stuff

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Grass braking gains you 2 tenths maximum in that corner, mainly because you get a wider approach to the left turn afterwards, and there's way more risk than reward, so it's just silly to do it unless you're going for a flying leaderboard lap.
