This track is tricky, you basically have two circuits rolled into One.
Many consider this circuit to be like Road America or Sunset, which is false, granted the second circuit shares some resemblances but the Apex's here are a lot tighter and you'll find late braking/smooth exit will gain you as much of an advantage as straight line speed.
Entry into turns 1 & 2 are Crucial, and the final exit coming onto the back straight is going to be your money maker, so get your car setup to nail the final tight "switch-back" chicanes and to get the most out of the Launch off the Apex, then work back to reduce the aero, I personally find you won't need to reduce that much but its all down to driving style, and whilst I normally run noticably soft setups, here I have mine slighter stronger in the Suspension and Roll-Bar departments.
This is just my take on this track and my experiences with it, other Drivers may agree others may Disagree, use our comments as merely a Guide and test for yourself, and you'll find your Groove in no time.

when I said a there was a chance for the Z4, I may have been a bit over confident, making out before the start finish line and only doing 1:26:2's

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Quick question, I'm doing some practice for the race (I'll be driving for Weaponized TMS) and just wondering if you're following the suggested racing line in the first corner even though it deviates across the solid white line at the edge of the track. I am currently and I'm putting in 1:26's in a Jag (no tune) so I assume you are but I'm just checking
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
The lines on the circuit are off in a couple of places, since there is no forced Pit this Round and I believe the previous GT championship also ignored the turn 1 markers I would do the same.
I'll have a Steward double check but for now don't worry about it, as long as it's registered clean by the game its fine.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
ok cool thanks (: I just ran a 1:26.086 in my Jag with a nice tune. I might be able to push 1:25.something if I stig it.
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
1:21.944 is my PB from last weekend. Now who wants to see me not even break a 22 in qualifying?! XD
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
Just ran some Friday laps and done a 23.2 with Infineon no aero tune very slidy session lol.

1:21??? WTH? We are racing on the same track right?? (1:26 is my best...)
Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
1:26.097 is currently my best. Did 15 laps and could not beat it, and I'm getting really, really frustrated because I'm aiming for a 25.5.
EDIT: 1:25.624. I'm happy wih that!

Lap Times for Round 5 - Road Atlanta
Getting a feel for the track and car. Did a 1:23.806
Probably be able to smash 1:21 by race day. Hopefully faster

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes

1:19.8s in the Viper from ISCC. Though I think my PB clean was around a 1:20.1.

Re: USGT Championship - Laptimes
I'm down to 1:22.2** with a little bit of tweaking. Getting faster all the time.
