Just remembering RLM's interview earlier with Mika Salo & he brings up a valid point about the LMP2 cars needing more power because they have to literally dive past the GTE cars.

What do people think about this?

Just seen some LMP2 cars passing some GTE cars on the main straight pretty easily but a little bit more power wouldn't do some harm.

I would say the gap between LMP1 and LMP2 needs to come down considerably. 15 seconds round Le Mans is too much. If the gap was 5 seconds a lap that would be much better for all concerned. The main gain would be straight line therefore no need to be banzai'ing GT cars

Scrap gte and use gt3 which in turn would mean more teams instead of 3 that would also solve that problem

I think what should also happen is LMP1 should be manufacturers only because as it stands the Rebelions don't stand a chance. Then LMP2 should be given a bit more power so they are closer to LMP1.

I think GTE AM and PRO should be scrapped for just GTE. As for GT3 I'd say no.

I disagree with GTE being scrapped.

We are into the fifth hour now & what a race we have witnessed so far. It's very close now between Toyota #7 & Porsche #20. But as proven by its team mate, will the Porsche last to the very end? Who knows. Audi have slipped back a bit but #2 is still in the hunt.

I think it's actually a good thing having the two separate classes. Because it's important to have the driver rankings to highlight to all the competitors who you are sharing the same piece of tarmac with.
Also, it gives the amateurs a chance to win a world championship within their own category.

This is something which I would like to see being implemented into the TORA ISCC in the future, in the GT class. Because it could attract every competitor to race and commit for the entire season knowing that they have the chance to win a TORA Championship.

It's an interesting one but definitely shouldn't change to GT3.

Imagine this:
Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren/Honda all come over to LMP. Joining Nissan, Porsche, Audi Rebellion and Toyota. That'd make 8x2+1 Audi= 17 LMP1.

If LMP2 then stayed at 17 as well, you'd be looking at 34 LMP. What then for GT?

Just seen an LMP1 lapping an LMP2 who was lapping a GTE car on the straight. The LMP1 soared past both of them and the LMP2 only just managed to get past the GTE car on the straight. The LMP2's definitely need a bit more power.

There will be extra pits built between 14 & 15 so grid will increase to allow up to 70 cars

GTE will be staying GTE AM and GTE PRO

You may see see P2 have P2 AM and P2 Pro
