We don't get anything either apart from the warm fuzzy feeling of having run a series.

I don't really understand the reasoning behind getting a sponsorship if there aren't going to be any prizes. All the series I have been in in the past on here have had them and they were always taken with a smile

1 - Donations we get are minuscule and mostly go to web hosting and MSA fees.

2 - We currently receive no profit from merchandise we sell.

Get Promoting and get some Dollar then

No point in getting a partnership, going through the effort of it and getting nothing from them

On the plus side anyone can drive and compete in the series for free.

We are a club of 12 guys and we get [Censored] all the time shirts,hats,stickers,poster's, ticket's.....

After Round 2 and after the SI window shut, we were given a PM from a member who linked in his PM a youtube video of PTG Mesasphere's race 1 from his POV. The footage clearly showed him cutting the track limits many times which did gain him advantage over the car behind.

Staff chose to take PTG Mesasphere's points from race 1 away as punishment for disrespecting the track limits.

Abuse of track limits is not an SI

I get what you guys are saying, but the track limit investigations are not done by the stewards and aren't held to the same time requirements.

That's a bit harsh isn't it? Considering he's one of only a few people to post up a replay, I'd lay money half the field did it as well. Can't see anyone else posting up a replay after this. Who complained?

Remember that Japanese Ferrari driver who videoed himself massively breaking the speed limit on the motorways then got arrested? Yeah that.
I don't see how this will deter people from posting up replays of fair and clean racing. It's fair to say we're pretty relaxed on the whole but the cutting was so consistent and so obvious as it would be bad on our part not to investigate further. Particularly when all drivers are warned prior to the race what is expected.

The video was submitted first on the Monday after the race. Remember, the process is not there to act as a iron fist. It's meant to act as a learning tool to help us all become better racers and respectful of the rules laid down. You won't get away with it in real life so why should anyone here?

Surely if someone abuses the track limits they should be punished for it, whoever they are (and don't call me Shirley). Those that didn't abuse the track limits can stick to the rules and so should everyone else; don't see the problem.

I don't want to start an argument, I really don't, I just want to know where we stand on track limit penalties

Regardless of when it was submitted it was acted on.

If the rules read the stewards are assessing them, that isn't correct. The race director and staff are setting and administering the regulations for track limits.

And yes, if you have evidence of a driver consistently abusing the set limits, PM it to me or Matt.

Think the punishment is well out of order in my opinion to take all his points. He wasn't the only one I seen many cutting corners etc. there's always a snitch to ruin the race!!!
